USA or not USA.? countries have laws on power. If just the red LD, replace the driver ic. If all are on, check for noise.

2021 amp, has new TRICKS , add STANDBY.4 causes,(more really) in the manual 1: speaker wire shorts or even speaker.2: overheating of final PA power amp out. vents blocked. or lint.3: a bad amp,(inside)run the amp, on desk not a cabinet and cool 20F room,no cables connected by AC power. 4: so does same thing at 8 hours unused it goes to STAND BY MODE. Through an authorised Yamaha Electronics Service Centre. They are not available to the public as firmware damage may occur and that will destroy your receiver.

There is a Pre Out. Use the FRONT terminals if your Bose are main front speakers.

Sounds like a power supply issues, check the various voltages stamped on the power board

Probably a broken/faulty push switch.

It's in protection mode. Disconnect all speakers and hold the Tone and Straight buttons while hitting the power button. Hold all buttons down for 3 to 5 seconds. This will turn off protection mode. Now power down then back on. If you haven't damaged anything it should work fine. Make sure all speaker connections are good. Always power down the unit before making any speaker or other connections.

If you are in Pro Logic mode and play a stereo recording/film etc, there will be no rear sound. You need a Pro Logic recording to produce true rear sound.

That is unusual because the tracking laser is a lot less less power than the reading laser. You can try a Cleaning Disc, but you probably need Yamaha Service.

Question edited for full 'make model (what is is).Sounds like the aerial antenna is not connected. Check behind the unit and also the connector wherever it goes.

I would get it fixed at a Yamaha Service Centre, as you don't have the test equipment to find which failed component is causing it to shut down and protect itself. The only thing you might try is looking for bulging or split capacitors. That WOULD cause circuit protection, because they are power stores and smoothers.
