How do I record dtxpress 3 on garageband?

Your best bet is to get a "midi to usb" cable. is use the M Audio Uno and have had no problems, then it will record as midi, so you can edit the hits later if needed.

I cannot get the hi hat controller on my DTXpress

you have to press hi hat pedal too strong to get sound of close hi hat. ------------ If you have the SPECIAL version of this drum kit, it has a different hi-hat controller(the RHH) than what is default in the module. Reset the pad for the hi-hat to read RHH and this will cure any and all problems. It will function and sound just like a real hi-hat. ------------- you go to "voice" hit the hihat pedal, then press "page" till you get to hhat ofset and bring the value to negative. approx -25. pressure that you applied to hhat pedal becomes less -------------------- 1st thing to check, Make sure both the hihat and hihat controler cables are stereo cables and not mono cables.

2nd make sure the hihat controler is plugged into the hihat controler port at the back of the module.

3rd Make sure the gain dial on the hihat (between the two 1/4 jacks) is turned up

4th if the above doesn't work, try doing a factory reset of the module and see if that helps.
-------------- this will help.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.

Can not get songs to

Restore your computer to the date you the device worked well last. To do this go to start/all programs/accessories/system tools/system restore. When the system restore dialogue box comes up, make sure to select a date on which the device worked properly. If the date there are too early, choose "choose a different restore point" and if still necessary choose "dates more than 5 days old." Then click restore. You will not loose personal data. At the end of restore try your device again and it should work properly as it did previously on that date.

Electronic snare drum pad picking up tom tom triger signal ?

your right old and new technologies are all the same basic concept, a Piezoelectric transducer converts mechanical energy into an electrical pulse. Adjust/increase the cross talk (x-talk) setting on the module for your specific channel. this settings job is to disregard really small signals (ie. vibrations from the stand, other drums etc...), you may have to play the pad a little bit harder but it should work fine.

USING OUTPUTS YAMAHA DTXPRESS II

You have to use a splitter, but it must be a single stereo to a dual mono splitter. This will allow you to trigger two sounds with one input such as the 9/10 on your kick pedal.
