Problem with potentiometer
Does anybody know
A little more triage would be in order before you take a knife to it.
Turn the volue to something in the middle.
If it's only an analog source doing it I would suspect a bad switch contact somewhere in the signal path. Typically, it might be a switch you rarely use, like a Tape Monitor or Mute. It's wise to occasionally (with power OFF) manipulate all manual controls throughput their ranges a number of times to wipe oxides from their contacts.
My yamaha keeps turning off as soon as i turn it
Buy yourself a 120mm 12volt computer case fan and a 12volt power pack. Mount the fan with some double sided tape to the grill on top of your AVR. Have the fan mounted so it draws air out of the amp and turn it on when you know you are going to crank up the volume. Try and buy a fan with the lowest noise level so it isn't annoying
The sound will suddenly go off on my Yamaha
This is a classic over heating problem. There are 2 likely causes - hope for the first.
1. The speakers or wiring have a problem and draw too much current from the receiver. Carefully check your wiring. If it looks OK, leave both speakers disconnected and turn the volume control all the way down. Power the unit up. If it stays running, then try one speaker then the other (at low volumes to avoid damage) and see if one makes it shut down. If it does not stay running then see #2.
2. The power amp circuitry of the receiver has an issue causing it to overheat or the overtemp circuit is faulty and it thinks its overheating. Either way, this one needs professional help.
Good luck
Yamaha rx-v671 usb overload issue
(francais) hello in my issue the probleme was a little resistor r027 it's in this red zone and very ugly. easy to find. a friend was unsolded the resistor and weld a little wire after wash with isopropanole alcool.
the resistor test the tension when we plug usb thing. less the resistor the usb ports don't work. you can buy r027 for 2 euros for 100 pieces.... or 2 euros for 5 10 pieces (funny).
