Hi Andrew Smith, as you comment, the problem would be in the remote control
You can do a test to see if the remote control is broadcasting
You put the camera of your cell phone focusing on the emitter of the remote control, press any key on the remote and through the camera you will see that the emitting LED turns on (this happens through the cameras of the cell phones detect infrared rays, our view can not do it directly)
With this method you can check if they are emitting each key of the remote control
If you don't emit, you can try cleaning the internal contacts
Try to carefully disassemble the remote control
Separate the plate and the rubber template from the keys, clean the latter with some neutral soap, removing the grease that forms in the contact area, on the other hand, clean the plate with a cloth dampened with a glass cleaner, NO USE ALCOHOL in any case, let all parts dry and reassemble
Take the test and comment
Greetings Franco Dosil

Hi Tony mucci, to connect your Yamaha EQ-70 equalizer to the RX-661, you must use two double RCA RCA cables and the Line IN connection of the EQ-70, you go to the RX-661 MD / CD-R Rec connection and the Line Out connection of the EQ-70 you go to the MD / CD-R Play of the RX-661
This equalizer will work with the analog audio signals, but not with the digital ones
I hope you can connect it

Hi Bryan Fenwick, if your Sky + HD Box-Wifi-2TB, has a unique audio output and is an optical type (Fiber Optic), you will not be able to connect it to your Yamaha CRX-D430, because it does not have such inputs , the fiber optic connection you have, is an output of the compactera
You should buy an audio signal converter by fiber optic to audio signal, L R, with RCA

In some old model av-amp, if the sampling freq. is 96KHz or
above, av-amp confines its playback in 2 channels only.
Check the sampling input source is 96KHz or not.
Or perform this test
(1)Download htr6130 service.
(2)Start the self-diag test
(3)follow the instructions written on p.25 to 33 to do the tests.
Hi Terry Fraser, for what you say, you could have problems in the speaker outputs or power supply
Try disconnecting all the speakers from the back panel of your Yamaha and test if it does the same
If you do, it is safe source and output failure
If you don't, check all the cables and connections on the speakers well and reconnect one speaker at a time.
Comment the results

Connect an HTMI cable to the leftmost (viewed from the back) HDMI jack to your TV's HDMI. Then connect the optical cable from the TV to the AV4 optical jack on the 573.
You may need to configure your TV to use the HDMI jack you plugged into (if you have multiple HDMI jacks.)
That should be all you need to do.

No sound on all sources? Be sure you check all inputs (am/f.m., internet radio, hdmi sources, etc...) If all sources fail and there is no sound, try a factory reset. Hold the"Straight" and "start" buttons, you should see the menu, then shut it off. If that fails, try a firmware update. (It needs to be online ofcourse). Go thru the menu and it will let you know if it has the latest firmware. Good luck
Surround R + L + Center are wired in but won't work
Voltage for all relay drive seems OK.
What you should do is to exchange the front speaker relay with
those suspected such as SR and center. If sound comes out,
the problem must be relay. If still gets no sound, check all circled components. Remember to download service manual and read p.83.
Hello Anonymous, to be able to clean the buttons correctly, you must take them out and put them in Isopropyl Alcohol, so that the internal dirt is softened, with the risk that it may not be completely clean, that you reinstall them and they do not work properly
Suggestion, pay attention to the Techico Service, replace all the buttons
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil
