Craftmans Laser Measuring Tool Model

The 48252 is kind of "finniky". Angle has to be good, surface not irregular or like a cusion, can't be anything in the way. There's a troubleshooting section in the manual - I have attached it in case your's got misplaced. Just enter the Captcha, and the link will appear at the top right of the large pannel in the next screen.

Hope this answer helps out, if it does please rate this a four-thumbs up. Thank you.

Craftsman 320.48247 laser level not working with new batteries

If your Craftsman 320.48247 laser level is not working with new batteries, there could be a few different issues causing the problem. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the battery connections: Make sure the batteries are properly installed and the connections are clean and secure. If the batteries are not making good contact with the terminals, it can cause the laser level to malfunction.
  2. Check the battery type: Make sure you are using the correct type of batteries for your laser level. Using the wrong type of batteries can cause the laser level to malfunction.
  3. Check the laser diode: If the laser diode is damaged or not functioning properly, it can cause the laser level to malfunction. You can check the laser diode by inspecting it for any visible damage or looseness and making sure it is properly aligned.
  4. Check the lens: If the lens is dirty or damaged, it can cause the laser level to malfunction. Clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth and make sure it is not damaged or cracked.
  5. Check for any other visible issues: Inspect the laser level and its components for any visible issues that may be causing the laser level to malfunction. This can include debris or foreign objects that may have gotten stuck in the laser level, or damage to the laser level or its components.
If you have tried these troubleshooting steps and the problem persists, it may be necessary to have the laser level serviced by a professional. A technician will be able to diagnose the problem and determine the necessary repairs.

Looking for repair manual or help with problem

ok,there are 3 safety switches,(i have the same mower,i bought for 50 bucks because they couldnt start it),a seat switch in case you fall off,a brake/clutch switch,so you have to step on it to start and a deck switch,so if your deck is engaged,it wont start,if you can guarantee that you wont fall off or screw around and get your foot cut off,i will tell you how to bypass the safety switches, pull the cover off the motor, see the single small black wire connected to the coil?not the spark plug cable, pull that wire off of the coil, now, find a switch that you can use for a shut off, connect a wire to the coil and run it to your dash, connect another wire to ground, connect each of them to either side of the switch, you will use that to stop the motor, put the cover back on,sit in seat, push in clutch and start your mower.be careful, there are no safety switches now, dont go up a hill sideways you will get killed if it rolls on you.
