I haven't used the Xbox On Demand service before, but I would believe that un-installing/deleting the game from the harddrive and re-install/re-download the game should make it work again,I don't think you will lose your gamesave, because it will be saved on your harddrive/memory unit but if you do, the worst thing that will happen is that you have to play through the game again, but then It should work.

Please keep in mind that these emulators, while they may work with disk images, legally requires that you physically own the game you are trying to play.
