Pull lines from tank making sure where each goes to carb. Rinse tank out with carb. Cleaner then blow out with compressed air. Cut hoses to proper length as old ones but allow 1 extra inch. With this inch cut with scissors making a tapered end, drop oil on holes in tank to lube as you thread line into holes twist and turn hose into tank until you can get to ends of hose with needle nose pliers and then pull hose until you can cut of taper and install fuel filter in correct hose.

Remove wire from ignition switch to coil and try, these switches go bad. If not problem you may need coil.

Have manuals will need postage and printing cost if you still need.

Most Homelite parts manuals have been removed from Internet I do have some if anyone needs let me know and will have to figure copying and postage.

Remove all fuel from tank and check fuel filter in tank if a lot of trash is found in tank clean tank with carb. Cleaner by spraying and sloshing and pour out and do again until all trash is removed. Then blow out thoroughly with compressed air.

The line closest to the primer bulbs goes very short distance into tank the other line goes to fuel filter in tank.

It would have been from 1965-1983 probably 1982.

Easy things ipfirst remove wire to stop switch.

Parts manual ?

If it only does it after it sets for awhile try leaving fuel cap loose when not in use.

Remove cover that holds fuel and oil tanks in place both will have a duck bill valve in the tank replace them.

Turn H and L adjustment screws all way closed to right counting turns in and writing down. Now turn both 1 1/2 turns out, try to start if starts give full throttle and adj. the H to max speed now adjust L so that it will idle and not hesitate when going from idle to full throttle.

Carburetor probably dirty and possibly metering diaphragm an or fuel diaphragm bad. Would remove carb. Inspect and if diaphgram is busted or very hard would replace.

Normally remove the two screws holding the cylinder. Pull cylinder from piston. Then remove the snap rings or springs on one side of piston pin and gently drive out pin with brass rod or hard wood pin.
