Confirm that the ECO-Throttle Switch is in the off position. When in the ECO mode the unit goes into an idle condition and when detecting a load will spin up to operate the load. In the off position the unit will remain in the ready for load speed taking the initial load with less hesitation. If this does not solve the problem it is likely the carburetor has some old fuel residue. This residue restricts the fuel flowing through the carburetor. Suggest using a fuel additive carburetor cleaner added to fresh fuel and allow the unit to run under load for an extended period. These gas treatment products are readily available at any auto parts store. These carburetors have no adjustment for fuel mix and after trying fresh fuel and cleaning the fuel system with additive the only remaining choice would be cleaning or replacing the carburetor.

hi wizman sorry not answered your reply to me about a week ago ,just too lazy and lost a lot of interest in this site since it was changed ,trying to find the new questions as they come in ,and the odd 4 dollar ones which goes towards my phone bill and this new lay out and questions filling my inbox ,anyway now to answer this one i suppose and i think here i would need more info as to how it was before it was rebuilt .But i would have a play and strip and clean the carb first .right now to see what else i have been sent as star trek is on TV in 20 mins .

it may be a thermal coupler that cuts out when it gets to hot i would let it cool off for a bit then try it with a lighter load and go from there

Did you check the air filter air restriction would make it do that . Its eighter that or you need to take the carburator off get a can of carb cleaner with the plastic nozzle take it apart and spray out all of the venturies and the main jet clean every thing good . Know this all carburators work exactly the same they may look a little differant but once there off idle its an automatic system the adjustments don't matter that much and the passages are small all it takes is a monor restriction in one of them to give you a problem . The good news is you don't have to buy any parts if its not the air filter clean it and it will work like new note where the adjustments set by the number of turns out from the stop most you will not be able to change the idle is nornaly set 1 and a 1/4 to 1 and 3/4 out from the stop or complete shout off and check to neddle valve to make sure its sealing good its the one that rides on the top of the float and shuts the fuel off to the float bowl from the tank when the bowl is full if this seal leaks it will flood the engine with fuel this could also be the problem . In ganeral look for things that look dirtyif its clean it will work
