Check the following possibilities that may causing the error message.
1. Some times more paper may be taken in the paper feed area, check for any other paper jam in other area of the printer.
2. Remove all the printer drives, ports and uninstall the printer software and once again reinstall it by following steps given below
Start - Control Panel - Add and Remove Programs - Remove the program in the list called Tally Laser printer.
By now you have uninstall the software and now reinstall the software with the available cd given at the time of printer purchase and start printing.

You may want to order a Maintenance Kit, which replaces the rollers, transfer roller and fuser, which will basically set your printer back to 0 pages and stop frequent jams also. No need to spend all that money on a new one.

pLEASE UNINSTALL THE PRINTER DRIVER AND REINSTALL IT AGAIN..........THAT SHOULD HELP..

The 'Set Drum" error indicated the printer is not detecting the drum cartridge as being located in the printer.
I would recommend doing the follwoing;

1. Ensure the drum cartridge locates correctly in the printer. Remove it and re-seat if necessary.
2. Ensure the top cover (the one that opens upwards to change the drum) shuts correctly, this cover pushes the drum into the printer.

If the above actions do not fix the problem, I am afraid the covers will need to come of the printer. There is a gear mechanism located on the left side of the printer that operates when the top cover closes.
This gear mechanism will need to be aligned with the alignment marks, it sounds like the gears will have slipped and the timing is slightly out.

You can access the the NETWORK men on the T8006 by powering the pritner ON holding down TRAY

You should then be able to change your IP Get method and network settings.

Exit the menu by pressing the UP Arrow untill you see RESET on the display, then wait wilst the pritner restarts and it should have saved the new network settings.

Hi Sheila. I've never owned a Tally, but here are some generic speed-up tips, based on my Samsung M/F, so your menu may be different. Activate: Eco-mode or economy mode. Draft mode. Choose 'speed' over 'quality'. Mono rather than color (for documents). These steps both speed up PPM and save toner/ink. Regards, Clive.

The Printhead is not where the printer expects it to be. Usually the carriage is jammed, which can be caused by a faulty ribbon. If the carriage is not moving freely with the printer off try to find what is causing the bind.

Does your user name and password have administrative rights on the computer? If not then you may need try with a user that does. I have run into some software that will throw a similar error if the folder already exists.
