Tally t6215 page break

It is probably not the printer problem . First confirm it by taking 2-3 windows test pages . If it is coming properly than your problem is surely form the package you are using. Ask the system administrator to rectify the problem from the software . page length and printer emulation must be added in the software.

I have a Tally 6212. I'm using non Tally

If the ribbon is causing the Ribbon Fault, they would not be very well made compatables I would suggest changing to one of the other brands available. I belive the T6215 senses the ribbon turning by having a silver strip stuck on a rotating disk on the back of the ribbon, if this strip is not present or is not being detected it will display a Ribbon Fault. You can check the ribbon to ensure it has a reflective strip by manually winding the ribbon and looking at the back side of the ribbon, you should see a rotating disk which is half silver and half black. If this disk is not present the compatable ribbons would not be that compatable. The T6215 does to have a fault over ride for the Ribbon Sensor on its own, you can only over ride all faults this may cause other problems as Paper Out, Paper Motion errors are also overridden. You can enable fault override in the following way; Press and hold down LINE FEED and ENTER for about 5 seconds untill the printer bleeps. Press and Hold down FORM FEED and ENTER for about 5 seconds untill the printer bleeps. The above actions enabls Fault Over rides temporarily if the printer is powered off or reset Thai setting will be lost.

I have a taly t6215,for about 7 years it worked with no problem.but it's about 1 week that when we print it shows an error message like this:"...voltage".when I turn it off and then turn it on it work

You are most likely seeing "Hammer Voltage" errors on the T6215, it is worth observing the exact wording of the error seen as this can identify the cause. If the error is Hammer Voltage this indicates there is a problem with one of the following components; One of the hammer coils may be faulty, try a meter across each coil to measure its resistance a faulty coil should show up as being different to the majority. There may be a short circuit to one one the hammer coils, ensure the ribbon shield is not damaged and is in possition correctly, also ensure there are no foreign bodies which may short across the hammer bank. Check the ribbon cable from the main board to the hammer bank for damage and ensure the cable connects correctly. There may be a fault with the main board or with the interconnect board on the hammer bank.

After creating a new form of size 15 x 12 fanfold

THe T6215 can only print a maximum width of 13.6 inches. If you create a form wider than this Windows will not allow you to select this form within the printer driver as the printer is not physically able to print this wide. Your paper may be 15 inches wide but it is unlikely you will be printing 15 inches, simply create a form whose width is equal to the maximum print width or 13.6 inches. You will then be able to select this form in the printer driver.

Tally t6215 is printing continuously,

I would suspect this is happening because the system printing to the T6215 is sending only Line Feed Commands and not Carriage Returns. Access the menu on the T6215 and enable the AUTO CR function. This will cause the printer to append a Carriage Return each time it sees a Line Feed, this should resolve the issue.

Am running windows7 and when i try to add a form

The form width you are trying to create is wider than the T6215 is able to print on. The maximum page width that you can print is 13.6 inches, if you try to create a custom size paper wider than 13.6" Windows will not show you this form within the T6215 printer driver. As you can not physically print 21" wide you do not need to define a paper size this wide. Simply create a paper size which reflects the maximum print width or 13.6" You will then be able to print the maximum width the T6215 is capable of and also see this form in the printer driver.

LCD PANEL SHOWS ONLINE

The Online Config 1+ message is telling you the printer is Online ready to receive data and Configuration set 1 is loaded. The + is indicated as the platten gap is set for thicker paper. If the printer is not printing I would suspect a system or communication problem. If the printer makes a noise like it is printing perhaps try closing the print head gap.

Error lost cpu rest

This error on the T6125 may be caused by either a hardware fault with the printer, alternatively the problem may be caused by some sort of external influence on the printer. Passable resolution to the problem include;

Hardware Fault

Locate the main logic board, check the CPU to ensure all pins are soldered correctly on the PCB. Check there is no solder over spill shorting any of the pins.
There may be a fault with the main logic board which may require replacement.

External Influence

1) External Print Server

One of the most common causes for the LOST CPU error is the use of external print servers connected to the Parallel Interface.
These printers are not reliable if connected to external print servers unless the printer parallel interface has been set Uni-Directional. To do this, you need to follow these instructions.
Set the printer to Offline.
Press the Enter and LF keys together for approx 3 - 4 seconds. The alarm will sound. (Tech Access On)
Press the Mode key: display will show Offline Normal.
Press any Arrow key until display shows Offline Config.
Press the Forms/1 key.
Press any Arrow key until display shows Config Parallel.
Press the CPI/2 key.
Press any Arrow key until display shows Parallel Bi-Dir.
Press the LPI/3 key.
Press any Arrow key until display shows Bi-Dir Off.
Press the Enter key and the interface will be set.
Press the Clear key.
Press the Enter and LF keys together for approx 3 - 4 seconds. The alarm will sound. (Tech Access Off)
On the external Print Server, you need to ensure that the unit is also set for Uni-directional working.

Electrical Interference

Check the area around the printer to ensure there is no external electrical interference eg Electric Motors, High Voltage Cables in near vicinity of the printer.

Tally6215 "Config 1" Error

The 'Config 1" message on the T6215 is not indicating an error message, this message is simply indicating that Config 1 of the 10 configurations that you can set on the T6125 is loaded.

With the Config 1 message loaded you should still be able to print so long as the printer is ONLINE and does not have any other error lights on.
If the printer is not printing I would recommend printing a configuration page to check the printer is working OK.
To print a configuration page follow these steps;
Put the printer OFFLINE
Press the MENU BUTTON
Press the DOWN ARROW to HELP
Press ENTER

The printer should print a configuration page, if this prints correctly I would recommend checking the settings in particular the Interface and Emulation settings.
I would also recommend checking connectivity between the system and the printer to check the print jobs can get to the printer.
Also check the system to ensure the correct printer driver and printer setup is being chosen.
