Tally T2250 Matrix Printer - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Firmware required
If the the printer will only print 80 column rather than 136, and you know your print job is 136 columns, firstly check the menu settings to ensure the printer is not set to 8inch width. If the printer is set to 8inch width you will not be able to print more than 80 columns.
If you are printing from a Window application you will need to ensure you have the correct paper size (ie 13.6 inch wide) selected in the Application AND the printer driver.
If you are sure the print data is wider than 80 column and the printer menu is set to 136 column and you still are not able to print wider than 80 column it may be necessary to reset the device back to factory settings. (Before doing this I would recommend printing the current settings or make a note of the current settings as you will need to set the device back up again)
To reset the device to factory default;
- Start with the printer powered off
- Hold down the four grey buttons under the LCD
- Keep the four grey buttons held down and power the printer ON
- Keep the four grey buttons held down until you see 'Loading Default' of the printer has finished initializing.
Once you have done this you should be able to print 136 column prints.
If you can not I would suspect the data is not greater than 80 columns in width and you would need to check the computer system set up.
File manager damaged
Go to the Windows site and you can find instructions on how to restore File Manager. I've done it once but don't remember how. The Windows site helped me get it back. Good luck.
