If you carry on entering the code wrong it will block the radio and can only be unlocked by taking the unit to an audio specialist.
leave the radio on until it is ready to enter the code.
Do not enter anymore wrong codes or you will block the radio unit and will have to take it to an audio specialist to decode!

Yes you are correct, leave the radio powered on for as long as it takes......could be 1 hour or 5, when ready it should either read code or - - - - then it is ready to accept the correct code. If a wrong code is entered it will take longer to reset each time and finally block the radio when it will need to be taken to an audio specialist to be reset!
