Welder won't speed up to weld ?
What doesnt speed up to weld? the feeder? is the wire burning back? are you getting any wire? this is gmaw / wire right? sounds like it may be running slow
Why won't it run?
If the carburetor is ok, check the fuel pump. If it had bad gas in it, the tiny diaphragm gaskets within the fuel pump might be gummed up a little. You can check the pump volume if you remove the fuel line from your carb, aim it into a bucket or other receptical, and watch it pump. The gas should pulse smoothly with a little force. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it should be more than just a trickle, in other works. If your pump seems to be doing ok, and all of your fuel lines are clean and clear, the problem may be an intake manifold gasket leak, a carburetor mount gasket leak, or the intake manifold itself may be leaking. The intake manifold is two-piece, pressed aluminum with a sealant in between the two pieces. A leak at any of the three locations I mentioned would cause the problems you're experiencing. The fuel would of course reach the carb, but due to the any leaks, the vacuum needed would be decreased to the point that it wouldn't be enough to draw the fuel through the carb.

Onan engine? If so, check your fuel pump. It will be located on the engine cowling. You'll see 2 fuel lines, one on top and one on bottom. These are the fuel in/out lines. The line you WON'T see is the vacuum pulse line that hooks to the rear of the pump assembly behind the cowling. This line operates the pump via a vacuum pulse created by the engine.
You can remove the pump mounting screws and the pump will pull away from the cowling a short distance exposing the vacuum pulse line. Make sure it's attached and not dry rotted. If the engine has set up for any extended period, there's a good chance the pump gaskets are "glued" to the pump chambers (internally) by bad gas and not allowing the vacuum to pump the fuel. Onan has (when I was working on them) kits for these fuel pumps and I've installed them successfully, but it might prove to be somewhat tedious if you're not well versed in kits of this sort or not extremely mechanically inclined. But if memory serves, a new pump was priced within reason. Good luck.
I have a miller bobcat 225 is lower power while welding, any idea?
First off, check all of your welding cables to make sure they're in good shape, then check for tight cable connections. Is your machine staying at low idle speed while trying to weld? If so, Switch the idle select into the 'weld' position and make sure the high RPM's initiate. Try welding again. Better? Could be a number of things, if not.

I had the same problem a few days ago try taken off the air filter to where u can see the choke get a spray bottle put a lil gas in it as u start ur welder spray the choke if it starts set ur machine to run it workd for me my uncle showd me this

Float level may be low or high. There may be dirt in the low speed circuit of carb. Ot may also be a defective needle and seat or even a sunken float. If you eun E10 or E20, you may have corrosion in the carb from sitting- Ethanol absorbs water from the atmosphere.It may also be an issue of the fuel quality too. If the gas sat for any length of time, volatility is impoaired. Especially with oxygenated fuels.
