if the lamp is still on and no picture transmits, reset the settings to factory default. the resolution doesn't match or the signal is lost. if the lamp goes out, you may need to replace the lamp. check the lamp for bulges, black spots or fogging. if the lamp is ok, check the colorwheel. if you hear squealing or chirping and it stops when the lamp goes out, replace the colorwheel. if that is ok, replace the ballast.

If you have forgotten your password, then please do the following, to retrieve the administrator password:
A unique 6 digit "universal password" which is printed on the security card ( must have come along with the projector) The unique password will be accepted by the projector no matter what administrator password you had put in earleir.

In case you have lost the security card and the unique password , you will need to contact the Acer service center in you area.
Best of luck

Try the following:
you need to enter factory Menu.

You do so by doing the following:
1).Start the projector.
2).Press keypad <Source> and <Auto> keys simultaneously, enter " Lamp Hour info" layer
3). Press <Source> and <Auto> keys simultaneously again, then enter factor menu.
Do not change anything till you reach Lamp Layer where lamp hour and usage hour is given. If you reset, then all data revert to default - factory reset. you may chage here or under (2).
Let me know if this solves your problem.

After replacing the lamp, you need to reset the lamp use timer. The manual is a bit cryptic on how this is done. The manual says "Fn. Up > Fn. Dn. > Vol. Dn > Vol. Up > Enter > Power" However, my remote has no "Fn" or "Vol." controls. Further study of the manual shows that "Fn. Up" = joystick up; "Fn. Dn" = joystick down; "Vol. Dn" = joystick left; "Vol. Up" = joystick right; "Enter" and "Power" are keys on the Remote, "Enter being "6 o'clock" position on the ring encircling the "joystick" I am calling the control that one would use to move the cursor on the screen the "joystick" Thus to reset the timer, key in from the remote "cursor up" "cursor down" "cursor left" "cursor right" "enter" "power"

Your MacBook should recognize the default file system already used to pre-format the LG extenal hard drive at the factory. You'll be able to write and read from it without issue. In fact, if you intend to ever also use it with a Windows machine, using it and leaving it in its pre-formatted state is recommended. As a novice user, I'm imagining you'll use the external drive for file storage. You'll only need to format it specifically for your MacBook if you intend to use it for more specialized MacBook tasks (like using the built-in Mac backup utility). In which case, the instructions to format it for Mac is available here - Format an External Hard Drive or USB Flash Drive for Mac OS
