My remote is not working and i am trying to switch to tv or dvd but its showing a screen with photo music movie text, how do i switch to tv or dvd
Without brand and model, I am hard pressed to help. Even if I had that, some sets have a limited number of buttons on the side that might allow switching input. I would even try disconnecting the HDMI cable or other cabling to a DVD, turning off the set and turning it back on.. But before you do that, look for an input button.
On the side of your TV, look for an INPUT button.
Press the INPUT button to cycle through each HDMI port and available option.
Keep pressing the INPUT button until you find the correct input for your device.
If your remote does not respond to a change of batteries, you may be destined to acquire a universal remote from somewhere like Wal-Mart or Amazon.
My Polaroid tv the LED is permanently on but will not turn off with the remote.
Question edited for clarity.
The LED light is a standby light and is on all the time the set is powered on by its On switch.
All sets have Buttons on the set itself, they are either on the lower left or right edge, or the latest craze is to put them on an angled panel on the rear of the set.
If you have a smartphone, you can test the remote. Aim the front of the remote at the front facing selfie camera whilst in photo mode and press the On button on the remote. You should see a red flash on the phone screen.
Try a Power Reset. Remove the television wall plug for 5 minutes and then plug it back in.

Turning sound back on magic chef 990st
It seems like you're referring to a Magic Chef model 990ST, possibly a kitchen appliance. If you're trying to restore sound or resolve sound-related issues on a Magic Chef appliance, here are some general steps you can take:
- Check Volume Settings:
- If the appliance has volume controls, knobs, or buttons, make sure they are set to an appropriate level.
- Look for any mute buttons and ensure they are not activated.
- Refer to the User Manual:
- Check the user manual that came with the appliance. It often contains troubleshooting tips and information about common issues.
- Power Cycle:
- Turn off the appliance completely and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
- Check Connections:
- Ensure that all cables and connections related to the sound are secure. Loose or disconnected cables can result in audio issues.
- Test with Different Inputs:
- If your appliance has multiple input sources (e.g., different burners on a stove), try using a different input to see if the sound issue persists.
- Contact Magic Chef Support:
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Magic Chef's customer support. They may provide specific guidance or recommend further troubleshooting steps.
- Professional Assistance:
- If the appliance is under warranty or if you're not comfortable troubleshooting it yourself, consider contacting a professional technician for assistance.
Remember that the steps may vary depending on the specific type of Magic Chef appliance you're dealing with. If it's a kitchen appliance like a stove, oven, or microwave, the user manual should provide guidance on sound-related issues.
If you provide more details about the specific appliance and the sound-related problem you're experiencing, I may be able to offer more targeted advice.
TAKING BACK OFF OF MODEL NM200TAVPE MEGA MOVER LI
It appears there might be a typo or a misunderstanding in the model name you provided. I couldn't find information specifically related to a "NM200TAVPE MEGA MOVER LI." If you are trying to take the back off a device, it's important to note that disassembling electronic devices can void warranties and may require special tools and expertise.
However, if you are looking to remove the back cover of a device, here are some general steps you can follow. Please keep in mind that these steps may not be directly applicable to your specific model:
- Power Off:
- Make sure the device is powered off and unplugged from any power source.
- Check for Screws:
- Look for screws around the edges of the back cover. If there are screws, use the appropriate screwdriver to remove them.
- Pry Open:
- After removing any screws, gently pry open the back cover using plastic opening tools or a case opening tool. Be cautious not to damage the device or any internal components.
- Look for Clips or Latches:
- Some devices have plastic clips or latches holding the back cover in place. Carefully examine the edges for these and use a plastic tool to release them.
- Refer to User Manual:
- Check the user manual or any documentation that came with the device for specific instructions on how to remove the back cover.
- Manufacturer's Support:
- If you're unsure or unable to find information, consider reaching out to the manufacturer's customer support for guidance. They may provide specific instructions or warnings.
Remember, if the device is still under warranty, opening it up may void the warranty. Additionally, certain devices may have sealed backs, making it challenging for users to access the internal components.
If you can provide more accurate information about the device or its intended use, I may be able to offer more precise guidance. If it's a specific product, checking the manufacturer's website or contacting their support is often the best course of action.
