How do I hook my onkyo SKW-791powered subwoofer to my onkyo av receiver HT-R758

You need a RCA sub-woofer cable (analog mono) to connect between the receiver's sub-woofer Pre Out and the sub-woofer. This cable has a single RCA plug at each end of the cable. The cable is somewhat thicker than some audio RCA cables. You can use any RCA cable temporarily. The manual for the HT-R758 is available from Onkyo here: https://onkyousa.com/ht-r758 . The current link to the manual is https://assets.onkyo-av.com/product-manuals/HT-S6500_English_2022-11-02-204020_ivkn.pdf?v=1667421620 . See page EN-13 (page 13 of the PDF) for connecting to the subwoofer. The original package came with a 10' RCA sub-woofer cable, see page EN-1 (page 81 of the PDF) for the speaker list. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

What's the error M1.04/19912A50?

The error code M1.04/19912A50 on your Onkyo AV receiver HT-R398 typically indicates a firmware or software-related issue. To resolve this problem and reset your receiver, you can follow these steps:
  1. Power Cycle the Receiver:
    • Turn off the receiver and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for about 10-15 minutes to ensure that all internal components have fully powered down.
    • Plug the receiver back in and turn it on.
  2. Factory Reset:
    • If the error persists after power cycling, you may need to perform a factory reset to restore the receiver to its default settings. Note that this will erase all your custom settings, so make sure to back up any important configurations if possible.
    • To perform a factory reset, refer to your receiver's user manual for specific instructions. Typically, this involves pressing and holding specific buttons on the front panel while powering on the receiver. The exact combination of buttons may vary by model.
  3. Firmware Update:

Remember to consult your receiver's user manual for model-specific instructions, as the steps to reset or update firmware can vary between different Onkyo models. Additionally, be cautious when performing a factory reset, as it will erase all settings and return the receiver to its default state.

How can I put my onkyo pa 7sd in aux

To switch your Onkyo PA 7SD amplifier to the auxiliary (AUX) input, follow these steps:
  1. Locate the input selector: Look for the input selector knob or button on the front panel of the amplifier. It is usually labeled with various input options such as "AUX," "CD," "Tuner," etc.
  2. Turn on the amplifier: Ensure that the amplifier is turned on by pressing the power button or flipping the power switch.
  3. Select the AUX input: Rotate the input selector knob or press the corresponding input button to choose the AUX input. The label "AUX" should be indicated on the display or selector knob.
  4. Connect your device: Connect the audio output of your desired device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player, or external audio source) to the AUX input on the back panel of the amplifier. Use an appropriate audio cable (e.g., RCA or 3.5mm) depending on the available input/output ports.
  5. Adjust the volume: Once you have selected the AUX input, adjust the volume knob on the amplifier to your desired listening level. You should now be able to hear the audio from your connected device through the amplifier.

My Onkyo TX-SR602E is stucked on CD input and doesn't change. What can be the cause?

If your Onkyo TX-SR602E receiver is stuck on the CD input and doesn't change, there could be a few possible causes for this issue: 1. Input Selector Issue: The input selector switch or button may be malfunctioning or stuck. Try pressing the input selector button repeatedly or cycling through the available inputs using the remote control to see if it frees up and allows you to change the input. 2. Remote Control Issue: If you're using the remote control to change inputs, it's possible that the remote control itself is not functioning correctly. Replace the batteries in the remote control and ensure that there are no obstructions between the remote control and the receiver's sensor. 3. Signal Connection Problem: Check the audio cables connected to the receiver's CD input. Ensure that they are securely connected and not damaged. Try using a different set of cables or connecting a different audio source to the CD input to see if the issue persists. 4. Internal Circuitry or Software Issue: If none of the above solutions work, it's possible that there is an internal issue with the receiver's circuitry or software. In this case, it may be necessary to have the receiver inspected and repaired by a qualified technician. 5. Reset the Receiver: Try performing a factory reset on the Onkyo TX-SR602E. Consult the receiver's manual for instructions on how to perform a reset. Please note that a factory reset will erase all custom settings and configurations, so be sure to back up any important settings before proceeding. If the issue persists after trying these troubleshooting steps, it is recommended to contact Onkyo customer support or consult a professional technician for further assistance. They will be able to provide more specific guidance and help resolve the problem with your receiver.

I have an Onkyo SR-TX806 and it displays video from HDMI OUT but can't find a signal from HDMI IN

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the HDMI input on your Onkyo receiver. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue: Check the HDMI cable - Make sure that the HDMI cable you're using to connect your video source to the receiver is properly plugged in and functioning. Try swapping the cable with a new one to see if that resolves the issue. Check the video source - Make sure that the video source (e.g. cable box, Blu-ray player) is turned on and properly configured to output video over HDMI. Also, try connecting a different video source to the HDMI input on the receiver to see if the problem is with the receiver or the video source. Reset the receiver - Try resetting the receiver to its factory settings. To do this, turn off the receiver, then press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button on the front panel of the receiver while pressing the "On/Standby" button. The receiver should display "Clear" on the front panel display. Release the "VCR/DVR" button and the receiver should reset to its factory settings. Check for firmware updates - Go to the Onkyo website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your receiver. If there are, download and install the update to see if it resolves the issue. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem with the HDMI input on the receiver. In this case, you may need to have the receiver serviced by a professional technician.

Hello Fixya team, I need help!

To set up your home theater system with the equipment you mentioned, follow these steps:
  1. Connect the Onkyo receiver to the NEC TV using an HDMI cable. Make sure the HDMI input on the TV is set to the correct input for the Onkyo receiver.
  2. Connect the Panasonic DVD player to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
  3. Connect the Firestick Lite to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
  4. Connect the Panasonic speakers to the Onkyo receiver using speaker wires. Make sure you connect the speakers to the correct speaker terminals on the receiver, which are usually labeled with the speaker's position (e.g. front left, front right, center, surround left, surround right).
  5. Configure the Onkyo receiver to use the correct input for each device. For example, set the input to "DVD" when you want to watch a movie on the Panasonic DVD player, or set the input to "Firestick" when you want to watch content on the Firestick Lite.
  6. Configure the audio settings on the Onkyo receiver to use the correct audio format for your content. For example, if you are watching a movie with Dolby Digital surround sound, make sure the receiver is set to decode Dolby Digital audio.
  7. Adjust the volume and other audio settings on the Onkyo receiver as needed to optimize the sound quality.
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to enjoy surround sound audio from your Panasonic speakers through the Onkyo receiver.

Onkyo HT-R550 front panel Display doesn't work.

I don’t have access to schematic for HTR550 but I do for HTR500 and it will be very similar. The components of interest are in the display board, primarily the electrolytic capacitors, it has likely failed. The screen brightness voltage comes in as ac to the screen board then goes through the circled area in the picture below, the likely failure is as said the electrolytic capacitor or could be dry solder joints. Burnt resistor will always be permanent and not intermittent. It could also be the -VP line causing the fault but this is less likely.

Lost surround Onkyo sr 60.1

It sounds like there may be an issue with the amplifier or the speaker wire. The fact that the channel has come back after reconnecting the speaker wire in the past suggests that the problem may be with the wire itself. However, the fact that the cat has chewed on the wire may have caused damage to it, which could be causing the current issue. It could also be an issue with the amplifier, such as a burn out on the right surround channel. To determine the cause of the problem and whether it is worth fixing, it would be best to take the amplifier to a professional for diagnosis and repair. The cost of the repair will depend on the specific issue that is causing the problem.
