We fixed it!! Here is the problem: The stroller would not click into the upright position because a small part in front of the foot release would not pop up anymore. This round plunger should pop up and down, instead it's stuck down (flat) permanently. Apparently this is a common problem. Its seems sand and dirt get stuck in there jamming the whole thing.Solution: We screwed a small wood screw in the centre of the circular part. With pliers we pulled the part up. We then cleaned the area and sprayed with WD-40. Using the pliers we plunged it up and down, working the WD-40 into it until it moved freely by itself. We removed the screw. Continued pressing it in and out with our finger until it seemed to be working as it should. Problem solved!Note: We live in the city so we only use this stroller for walking. We don't take it in the car, so we don't need to collapse it all the time. If you are collapsing your stroller often I'm not sure if this will be a long term solution for you. But give it a go!
