Fan blade for a U2-20

I have a metal blade for the Patton U2-20 fan listed on ebay. The item number is 160273949463 and the listing ends on Wednesday August 27 at 10.00 p.m. I had this fan for 8 years and the motor has failed. Patton could not replace the motor since this is a discontinued item, and I figured that someone could use another blade for their fan. I hope this helps you!

they are, but tend to be costly and timely to replace. The cost of replacing the fan will be very small over buying a new motor

Fan switch

I would go to an ACE hardware or any other hardware store, bring in the old knob if you had it to find another that would match the shaft which it connects to, another place might be Radio Shack.

My fan won't turn on a ballon string got stuck and

You probably burned the motor up. Or.. there is still more string in there. Take the fan apart, take the motor out... try to turn it by hand. Does it turn? If not, double check for more string flattened out and stuck btwn the spindle and the machine. Smell the motor for the distinct smell of hot/melting, etc.

DIRTY

No, you could destroy the motor. Simply take the grill off by cutting the plastic ties, use a screwdriver for leverage and pry apart. You'll put it back together the same way, sans zip-ties.

How do you clean Patton Floor fan?

The grill is in two halves with the back half attached to the motor. The front with the round patton insignia removes easily by applying leverage with a screwdriver. There are eight spots (at least on mine) where it clips. Be sure to remove any disposable plastic fastener holding the two halves together. Its pretty easy.
