hello, to change k/ph to m/ph 1st wake up the computer by pressing the mode button on the front bottom then on the rear press and hold for 3 seconds the set button on the rear of the device. then scroll to the 3rd option using the (front bottom) mode button until you see K/PH on this screen press the set button on the rear and then select M/PH by pressing the mode button and then press the set button again to store it that way. If it the distance is not changing either the problem is that the unit is not receiving a signal from the sensor - bad connection, sensor out of place, bad sensor, etc. If distance is working but mph is not then there's something wrong with the unit itself, and if still bad with a fresh battery it must be replaced.

The computer will automatically switch to Transport mode if the bike is transported with computer mounted. Pressing any button is supposed to take it out of that mode. If it does not do so the computer has some sort of problem or defect. Maybe it is in frozen/hanging state. If you changing the battery too quickly it could be still in it. 1) Try to remove battery and wait two minutes before inserting it back. 2) !Be sure that the new battery is really fresh! If it no help the device probably went to electronic heaven...

I already referred you to Google and to Sigma support, but it sounds as if you probably need to replace the unit. It should work when you replace the battery, even if you have not set wheel size, as all bike computers come with a default setting.
