check the battery with a multimeter and make sure it is showing at least 12 volts

a good rule of thumb is one hour for every amp hour that the battery is, so if its a 12ah battery then charge it for 12 hours

Here's what I found out for you:

It does actually say on the toys r us website that it does feature a real radio(http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3103085). I found the pdf manual, so check out page 14 in it, it shows where the radio connectors are located:

Manual
http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/corp/3103085_LinkDoc_1.pdf

On page 17 it suggests to change the batteries, replace all 4 with C alkaline batteries.

Page 27 is all about the radio use.

If something seems fishy under the hood, and non of the things in that manual helps, I suggest contacting the location of where you bought it asap to see what's going on.

Hope this helps!

I'm having the same problem. Actually, I have had it 3 times now. the first two times, there was a loose wire on the gas pedal. Go from underneath it and pop the tabs with a flathead screw driver. Then go back from the top and you should be able to snap it all the way out. If it's just like my problem, then you'll see a wire hanging off the harness. 3rd time around now for me, but this time 2 wires were off, so I'm searching for a wiring diagram to see what those wires connect to!! Hope that helps.
