How do i replace thermal fuse on an oster 5965 tea kettle?

This unit is discontinued and I doubt it would be cheaper than buying new and that's IF you can find it, sorry. You might get by with a $10 "Digital Power Timer", though. That will shut your kettle off after whatever amount of minutes and seconds you program it for.

Oster water kettle leaking from bottom of unit when pouring?

If you're not just simply missing the opening a little as you're pouring then I'd assume it's cheaper to replace than to repair, sorry. If it's leaking from the side-glass you might get by with filling your kettle just under the lower end of the side-glass.

Kettle base got water .keeps blowing....how do i solve problem

For the kettle's black 'charging' base: Unplug this charging base immediately. Let it dry out completely. If you have an air hose, contact cleaner or Electronics Duster (compressed air) to displace the water. If you're kettle stopped working after its fully dry (wait a day to be safe), make sure it's still unplugged and check the contacts in the base center for corrosion (there's the center ground pin and if you push down on it's spring-loaded ring around the ground pin you'll find two more inner/outer circumferential contacts). If you see corrosion try to clean them with a cotton swab (like Q-Tip) and alcohol and retry. For the kettle's stainless steel 'pitcher' base: It's the same as above but you'll need to expose the bottom for best results and to find out where's this water it leaking from. You'll need to remove the 3 Phillips screws and one safety-screw with a "spanner insert bit" on your driver. If you don't have access to one of those and your kettle leaks when filled then I'd bet it's cheaper to replace than to repair, sorry. d4c886f7-1d5f-46e6-a259-8f72ad03ad1a.jpg

The lining of the kettle on the inside bottom is

Stainless Steel doesn't boil away. What you're seeing is the mineral deposits (mostly calcium) left behind from heating the heavy water you're pouring into the kettle. Descale it, pour it out and rinse every month or when it gets bad if you like. These deposits won't hurt you but looks nasty. Another option is to use filtered water instead of tap water. Hope this helps a little...

Oster kettle not working

Ultimately, how I ended up fixing my Oster 5965 and Hamilton Beach Cool Touch Electric 40898 kettles that had the same problems as you (Nothing would work; no heat, no buttons would light up) was by taking apart the bottom screws (Be warned, for only one screw I needed a "Spanner Insert Bit"). I jiggled the connectors as I rang them out with my multimeter and everything seemed to work. Leaving the bottom off I retested the kettle and it just worked. I reassembled the parts and made my happy wife a cup of English Tea. 0086d2a8-48ac-40cb-9c0a-d2182dc4b660.jpg

The lid is stuck

Have you tried pushing your lid down to make sure catch doesn't hang-up before pushing back on the button and pulling it upward? If that doesn't work it maybe damaged (melted by steam, overuse or gunked up with heavy mineral deposits) but to be honest we don't ever open ours. We fill from the pour spout just fine with the lid always closed. You can pour in your descaler the same way. Hope this helps a little...

I have noticed black water deposits at the bottom

Hi,
mix half white vinegar and water together...then pour this solution in just as you would if you were making coffe....minus the coffe grounds of course... then run it through a cycle and then run clear water through again... and you will be good to go...do this once a month or so to keep it working great...

How to set bread pan into Oster 5838 Bread maker securely

Question moved from Cars and Trucks to Oster Breadmaker. The manual lists no funny tricks and just says; Carefully snap the baking pan into the breadmaker. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/402115/Oster-5838-Expressbake-Bread-Maker.html?page=11#manual See if you can work out what clicks? It has to be the bottom of the paddle or something on the side of the pan. Parts are available https://www.google.com/search?q=oster+5838+breadmaker+parts Some companies say parts are obsolete, but this site has them https://www.dontpinchmywallet.com/sunbeam-oster-breadmaker-replacement-parts/ This image shows a spring clip in the base of the paddle. Is yours working? Are you pressing the paddle down once the pan is in the breadmaker? https://www.amazon.ca/Oster-5838-026-Machine-Replacement-Kneading/dp/B0019BKPU4 ..
