On Samsung microwaves the SE error code flashed on display means "Sensor Error". This means that your humidity sensor has shorted and needs to be replaced. You will need to uninstall the entire unit and remove the outer shell to access the sensor that needs to be replaced. It will be mounted somewhere around one of the vent on the cavity of the microwave. You may contact Sears for the replacement part at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central.

SE indicates a shorted membrane switch on the keypad. Unplug the oven for a few minutes to see if it clears. If not, leave it unplugged overnight. If the problem persists, then you probably do have a switch that's bad. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/david_29ad5d1dd86564b0

Sounds like the main fuse blew. It's either near where the power cord enters the cabinet, or behind the control panel (if an over the range unit).
You may also have some type of failure in the high voltage circuit; based on your description of the symptoms. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/david_29ad5d1dd86564b0
SE is an error code for a shorted keypad, although the keypad might not really be shorted.

Unless there is grease, moisture, or some other foreign material deposits on your control circuit board, "SE" means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

Normally You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screw(s) you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.
In some cases, you then have to gently rotate the handle to unlock it.
You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Eric,
From what I have read, it does not sound real promising to get it repaired without going through a lot of hassle. I will include a link to a consumer website of the complaints about this problem. It sounds as though it is a sensor problem.
Samsung Microwave
I thought I needed a sensor also ( and you might), but first try this. Remove keypad. Find ribbon connector near lower edge, Gently slide a plastic ball point pen between the 2 ribbons to gently separate them. They may feel glued together. I then used a Q-Tip with a drop of alcohol to swab between the ribbons. Then cut a small piece of paper, cardboard or plastic and slide between the separated ribbons. Re-install keypad. Problem with mine was the keypad was basically shorted out. The ribbon connectors being stuck together caused multiple errors like child lock and daylight savings errors. Hope this helps someone.
Followed Timm Eckenroth's suggestions in a post from 08/02/2012and it fixed the problem on my Samsung same model as his.I was a little skeptical at first ,followed all his steps ,put it back together ,prayed about it and it worked..Thanks to Timm and the ourLord..
Since there was no smoke, it's not a transformer. It's most likely a high voltage diode or magnetron. The magnetron would be over heating and opening a thermal cut out mounted to or near it.
follow this steps for troubleshooting and fix it. God bless you
Controller is confusedA
power surge or random non-reproducible action of the universe may have
resulted in the controller's program ending up in an infinite loop. Pull
the plug for a minute or two to reset it.
Defective Interlock switchesThis can result in the controller thinking the door is open and ignoring you.
CleaningCleaning
solutions (spray cleaner) may have gotten inside and shorted out the
touchpad or controller. If this happens remove the touchpad, let it air
dry for a few days, and then attach it back on the microwave.
