No water

It is fairly common for the water tube in the door to freeze. Remove the front grill at the bottom of the refrigerator, find the water disconnect to the door and disconnect one side of the tube. Most newer connectors just have a little ring that you push in and this releases the tube. Push the water dispenser lever for just a second and see if water comes out the tube. If it does then the tubing in the door is frozen. You will have to shut off the refrigerator off for a while and leave the door open so the tube can defrost. Push the tube back into the connector under the refrigerator and wait. after an hour or two water should come out the dispenser. Another possibility id this doesn't work is the water tank is frozen in the fresh food section behind the crisper. Again you will have to shut off the refrigerator and let things thaw out.

No water coming out of valve in back of refridgerator when button is pushed\

Warning you may have to test electrical circuits with the power live .Is there water flowing into the connection on the unit ? If not look for shutoffs or a crimped supply line. If you have water pressure You will need to know how to an electrical tester or multi meter to test the water inlet valve. You can test for voltage on the solonoid while someone activates the switch for water If you have voltage when the switch is activated the inlet valve could be bad or the tubing feeding the dispenser is frozen or pinched you can loosen the water line that goes to the refrigerator to check for flow with switch activated If you have no flow replace inlet valve if you have flow check that the waterline is not frozen crimped or pinched. If no voltage appeared during the voltage test , Test the switch and wiring and repair as necessary.

GSL25JFXNLB water flow to dispenser seems to

Hi,Some models had a service kit for a dispenser heated applied at the water outlet on the door. Before you go hunting for this kit, open the freezer door and knob with your hand (like a door) on the inside door liner. Does it sound hollow or solid? If hollow the heater will work for you, if solid, the heater will not work because the inside of the door is frozen and only fix was to replace the door.I hope this helps, good luck I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

Refrigerator not cooling

Many reasons for this, most of which you could not fix yourself. Is the fan running in the food section? Is the freezer section cold enough or is the problem just the food section? Repost your question with more information.

your thermistors are way out of range even at that temperature you say,put each thermistor in a glass of ice water for 5 minutes, then remove the J1 connector from the main board and check with an ohm meter set on 20k ohm between the thermistors common terminal #5 and the other pin terminals all thermistors tested this way should be about 16k ohms when tested this way,if not replace them

The defrost cycle timer on gsl25jfxlb stays on, what can cause this and how can this be fixed?

If it's in defrost all the time the timer is stuck and needs replacing. If it's electronically controlled, suspect the probe (thermistor) that sits on the evaporator

I have a GE side by side Fridge that seems to get

Yes I do believe your motherboard is very likely the problem. These motherboards are a common weak link for the GLS25 and all series of the Artica/Profile. Fact is any refrigerator that uses electronics to control mechnical and electrical functions has this weakness. Things that help cause this problem are failing compressor start components like start relay, start capacitor, defective condensor or evaporator fan motors and electrical surge.

Many times disconnecting power first and examine both sides of motherboard for signs of heat damage or burn marks. Sometimes you can see the bad sections of motherboard but not aloways. Click Here=> GE ARTICA PROFILE TECHNICAL INFORMATION
You will need Adobe Reader to open the service manual=> GE PSS26MSRSS Service Manual
This manual also covers your model. Acrobat Reader is available as a free download

Handle is loose on door. How do you tighten

I just finished tightening the handles on mine. I took a terry cloth towel and lined it on the top of the handle where the cap goes on. Then I used a small flathead screwdriver to wedge under the cap. Pull back on the cap with even pressure on the sides and the cap will come off (it may come flying off, so watch out). You will gouge the finish a little bit, but the cap will cover it up. Repeat on each cap (bottom caps need to be pried from the bottom, of course). Once the caps are off, you'll see some star-keyed bolts. I already had a set of Allen wrenches handy and used a 7/64". It worked perfectly. Pop the caps back on and the fridge will feel like new next time you open it!

Fridge nor freezer are getting cold, compressor

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

I have a GE side

THE first thing i would ask are you still making ice in the ice bucket and just that it will not come out of the door... if so it is going to be a problem with the dispenser actuator or the micro switch in the door. there is a small pc control board in the dispenser area they may also be affected.. will require you remove the trim piece around the dispenser usually under the water overflow in the door once you remove it there will be 2 screws take them out ..if your do not have the screws on the side of trim you will see notched out area on each side the carefully a screwdriver can be put in and pop the trim piece off. check the switch with the door actuator is it making contact.if you are not getting water or ice production has stopped i would say check your filter first/next check to see if behind the produce drawers you have a water storage resorvoir make sure it has not froze up... lastely check the water valve to make sure you are getting 120 volts to water valve when the door switch is pushed ..hope this helps post with more info and any other questions you have....good luck to you...

For a GE refrigerator model GFSF6KEX, how do you remove the ice tray? (Not the freezer drawer, just the tray.)

To remove the ice tray from your GE refrigerator model GFSF6KEX, follow these steps: Empty the Ice: Before removing the ice tray, empty it of any ice cubes. This will make it easier to handle. Locate the Ice Tray: The ice tray is typically located in the freezer compartment, usually near the ice dispenser or ice maker. Grasp the Bottom Edge: Stand in front of the freezer and open the door. Grasp the bottom edge of the ice tray on the sides. Be cautious not to place your fingers near the opening at the bottom front part of the bucket where the crusher blades are located. Lift Up the Front: Lift up on the front of the ice tray so that it clears the stops on the ice bucket rail. Pull the Tray Forward: Pull the ice tray forward and out of the freezer compartment. Reinstalling the Tray: To reinstall the ice tray, follow these steps: Line up the flange pieces on the sides of the tray with the channels in the ice bucket rails. As you push the ice tray all the way back, lift the front of the tray so that it clears the stops on the front of the ice bucket rails. Verify that the tray is properly inserted by pulling it forward. It should hit the stops on the rail and not come out. If it does, push the tray further back. Check for Misalignment: If you're unable to push the ice tray all the way back, it might be due to a misalignment between the back of the auger (located in the tray) and the prongs on the auger motor (mounted in the back freezer wall). To fix this: Remove the ice tray. Close the freezer door. Press the dispenser for cubed or crushed ice; you should hear a snap. Open the door again and reinstall the ice tray. Remember to handle the ice tray carefully, especially if it's full of ice.
