Sorry to say but the water seal between the outer tub and the gearbox has failed and need to be replaced. Not an easy task and should only tackled by an skilled DIY persons. Repair kit and water seals are easily available from the manufacturer. Removing the center nut is a big challenge due to corrosion, soap residue and it requires a special socket.

The oil is coming from your gearcase (transmission). THE GEARCASE IS SHOT!!!!!

If there is too much weight to 1 side, sensors in it will stop it from spinning. If you evenly distribute the weight of your clothes this may fix it.

Are You postive the motor is bad . Have you checked if it is geting power to the motor or does the motor hum when trying to start .
