every trimmer or clipper is put together by tiny screws, need to unscrew them or the one and carefully pull apart to reveal battery .

well the smaller blade sits on plastic piece that is coming out of the clipper, having the inside of blade towards you. then larger blade ,the inside of that faces smaller blade,and align them to where you can see smaller teeth thru larger ones put screw back in and tighten. then oil them.
