Motorola CP185 (16 Channels) Two Way Radio - Page 7 Questions & Answers
How do I turn off the qt on my Motorola mc220aa hand heads
QT Noise Filtering
The QT noise-filtering feature helps to ensure uninterrupted
communication with other Motorola radios that have this feature.
This feature also filters out unwanted transmissions from other
radios. This is useful in places where there is heavy radio traffic,
such as amusement parks or ski resorts.
Note: QT noise filtering is not available when the radio is scanning.
To turn QT noise filtering on or off:
1. Press MENU until QT displays.
2. Press PLUS or MINUS until Y displays to turn noise filtering on, or
until - displays to turn noise filtering off.
3. Press MENU to confirm your selection.

How can I find freq Motorola gp2000
It takes a computer, programming cable and the software. Best to take it to a dealer. The other way is to use a frequency counter. It displays the frequency when you transmit. But that is way too limited, you really need professional help with a business band, professional radio.
Talkabout T461. Transmits, but why doesn't it receive?
Blown speaker is possible, but not likely. It is almost always the programming. Check that first. I would take the non listening radio and press and hold the scan button down until you get the squelch noise, about 3 seconds. Continue holding it and use the other radio to "talk" to it. If you hear the other radio, it is likely the programming is off. These are nice radios, but easy to bump onto the wrong channel or even setting. Oh! Remove all audio earpieces before trying this.
Instruction manual for the radius sp50 Motorola
Before spending much time on this radio, most SP50's will not meet the FCC regulations of Narrowband. We have recycled well over 200 now. Find a dealer, or you could email us with more information (what you want it to do, talk to, etc). There are a few things you are allowed to do with them and we have all the parts.

How do I connect Motorola CP185 two-way radios?
Yes, they must be programmed by a dealer to match your existing radios. Hopefully you purchased the same frequency band: VHF or UHF. I f they do not match that, they cannot be programmed to match. I don't know of a single 2 way dealer who would let those go out of their store without programming. Since you bought them elsewhere, another warning is they must be approved for the country you intend to use them in. You may be better off returning them and starting over. Many dealers, such as our store include programming at no cost when purchased from us. Call around to get some prices.
