I have a panasonic viera

1. The easiest solution would be to connect a stereo RCA (red and white) cable to the audio output on the back of your TV.
2. Then connect the other end to the input on your home theater system.
3. Change the home theater system to the correct input.

Good luck!

Does not switch to its external speakers

You have a cabling and/or setup issue and need to check your hardware manuals (or find them online) for instructions.I have a Samsung HT-C550, a DirecTV satellite box, a Vizio 37" HDTV, a Sony 5-disk DVD player and a Vizio Blu-Ray DVD player, all peacefully co-existing (with the use of a bunch of cables as well as a Logitech Harmony 700 universal remote). The TV (not the home theater) controls the use of the TV speakers. There are multiple options to get this to work. I run an HDMI cable from the sat box to the TV. (HDMI sends audio & video to the TV). I then run an optical cable from the TV to the CT550 and use the "D-In" setting to get the sound to play.Instead of the optical cable from TV to CT550, you can run audio from the sat/cable box directly to the CT550 using (red/white) RCA cables from the "audio out" jacks on the sat/cable box to the "AUX1" or "AUX2" inputs on the CT550"Hope this helps!!

My samsung home theater system plays about 15

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Hi, Yesterday the system arrived home and I

Look at the notes on page 22 in the manual. It may not be the settings just don't match up with the TV. It takes two to tango.

"Resolutions available for the HDMI output are 480p, 720p,1080i/1080p. See page 27 for the resolution setting.

This product operates in Interlace scan mode 480i for component/composite output.

After making the video connection, set the Video input source on your TV to match the corresponding Video output (HDMI, Component or Composite) on your product.

Turn this product on first before you set the video input source on your TV. See your TV owner's manual for more information on how to select the TV's Video Input source."

What does your unidentified TV manual say about the message?

Front left speaker stopped working.

You 'looked' at the wiring but have proven it is defective by swapping the speaker independent of the wiring. What's next? Replace the bad wiring.

What happens when you put a working speaker and wire on the front left output?

Hey yesterday brought Samsung HT-550

The front speakers are the base against which you adjust everything else.

Adjust the front rear balance for 0dB.

Readjust the rest of the speakers using the test tones. Normal audio may not have a lot going on back there.

When i put my 5.1 CH Blue - ray Home cinama system

If you received LUHD and then PROT, that means your system is malfunctioning somehow, and functions are interrupted, because system failure. Try with pressing the BD Receiver/TV Button until it glows a Yellow color, restart your Home cinema system. If you still face same problem consult with tech support, for that you can visit this web site : http://www.samsung.com/us/video/home-theater/HT-C550/XAA.

Shuts down after around ten

Any electrical device which shuts down after a period of time is usually over heating. Turn the device off, clean out all fans and vents on the device with compressed air and move any other objects away from the device so that it has room to breathe. If this works then you need to keep the device away from other electrical equipment and keep the fans and vents clear for air to circulate.

I'am unable to get video

Try to ensure that you have selected "source" correctly from your TV and that the cables from your HT are set up correctly. If you pop in a DVD to the HT then **** about with the "source" options on the TV you should at least get sound (only one cable to worry about) or everything if you use an HDMI cable. The satellite or cable selection should go via the HT so again make sure if is is hooked up correctly - if you do not see DVD, Cable or the HT "home" screen then your TV may be faulty.

When i turn the stereo on it only goes on about 2

the PROT error can result in one of two things if you have a divx disk the system that could do it otherwise it results in a fault on an onboard fan to cool off the receiver. usually meaing a faulty fan. you can replace the fan easily. worst case is the board went bad and you may be able to find one on ebay for cheap. sorry for the bad news. but thats the reasoning behind it. i hope the bad news doesnt stop you from giving me a good rating lol! but really i am sorry about your problem.

I have direct tv and only 3 out of the 6 speakers

DirecTV broadcasts in stereo, which uses the front 2 and the subwoofer. There should be a program option to switch to either 7 channel or 5 channel stereo. Select that.

My Blue ray DVD remote control is working because

I have had used samsung electronics before with a mulifunction or universal remote in which the remote would light up when your pressed a button but nothing would happen. I learned that I had to press tv then the buttons to change the channel or volume etc and the dvd/disk changer to access dvd functions likewise. I have a similar system in which I select the auxillary setting when watching tv to have my surround sound system pick up the tv's audio signals. The problem is when you first turn the power on it has an automatic function which autoplays a blueray or dvd or it tries to load a disk even if none is in the disk tray. This is an annoying function I know and I wish when I turned on my theater it would be at the same settings as when I turned it off but it's not, this is the way it was designed and you just have to deal with it. hope this helps

Is there any way i can put the PS3 and the Hitachi

Possibly. I believe the HTC550 only has one audio input so you'll have to work around this. Check and see if you Hitachi TV has a headphone jack. If it does, patch the PS3 audio through the TV. Connect the TV to the HTC550 through the headphone jack using a 3.5mm to RCA cable pictured in the link.
