This can be repaired by fixing the break. You may need a friend to help you repair the cable.

First test if the problem occurs using different output devices. Also ensure there is no earthing problem with the wall socket. In that case you will get the problem even when playing from speakers.

If the problem depends on the speakers, then it is a bad connection. The headphones are not supposed to be disassembled and must be replaced.

Call Bose to sort out the problem.
