The battery is fully charged. It works while

Change the battery in it. It can be found online. It is easily accessed on the back of the radio, by unscrewing 2 philips screws. I had the same problem with mine, with an old battery. Once turned on, I could unplug it and it would play for 12-14 hours. Apparently the iPal needs a higher voltage when it turns on, so your old battery is not able to deliver that.

I have a Tivoli Ipal

Bought a replacement antenna for my iPal for about $5 plus a couple of dollars shipping. Installed it in 5 minutes without taking the back off of the radio. No big deal. Simple, cheap, fast.

Tivoli Audio Model Two OFF - FM - AM - AUX Switch

It sounds like there may be a problem with the switch or the connections between the switch and the circuit board. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try: Clean the switch contacts: Over time, the contacts in the switch can become dirty or corroded, leading to poor or intermittent connections. You can try cleaning the switch contacts with a small amount of contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab. Be sure to unplug the radio from the power outlet before attempting any cleaning. Check the connections: The switch may not be making a good connection with the circuit board, or there may be a loose wire or solder joint. You can try opening up the radio (if you're comfortable doing so) and checking the connections between the switch and the board. Look for any loose wires or solder joints, and gently re-seat or re-solder them if necessary. Replace the switch: If cleaning and checking the connections doesn't solve the problem, the switch itself may be faulty and need to be replaced. You can contact Tivoli Audio customer support to order a replacement switch and get instructions on how to install it.
