How do I reset WAP4410N router back to factory
There should be a reset button to the right (the back facing you) of the antennas on the back, press that for 10 seconds to restore back to factory default. You may also go into the the web based control panel of the router and set it back to default.
How to connect wap4410 with pc to confgure
Try disconnecting your Cisco Wap4410 from all other network devices then restart it - it will look for a DHCP server, and when it doesn't find one will choose the IP: 192.168.1.245 ---
Set the TCP/IP settings on your laptop to:
IP:192.168.1.250 / Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 / Default Gateway: 192.168.1.245 and connect your laptop ONLY to the WAP4410 using a cat5 ethernet cable ---- you should then be able to load a web config page using internet explorer and browsing to: http://192.168.1.245
-------- I've paraphrased the following info from the Cisco User Support Forum (User Juunda):
"...If you read the administrator guide it states that the WAP4410N will search for a DHCP server first, if the dhcp request times out then will it default to 192.168.1.245 this is done so with a user friendly plug and play mentality in mind. Best practice would be to give the AP a static IP of your choice and in your subnet/network so the fastest way to configure the AP out of the box is to assign a static IP on your pc/laptop in the 192.168.1.X /24 and directly connect to the WAP4410N and give the WAP a static IP, define your gateway, DNS servers and then implement it into your network..."

Configuring Wi-Fi Protected Setup
To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router. Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer. Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL http://192.168.1.1 The default login = admin The default PW = admin You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place) Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption. Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer. How to Fix Linksys Router Error 2118?
This seems to be a symptom of a configuration error, which can be fixed by resetting the router to factory default. Do this by finding the (often partially hidden) reset button on the device, and pressing and holding down the button, with the power on, till lights start flashing on the router. Let go of the button and allow the router to reset (can take a minute or two). You will now have reset the router to factory default. To connect to your ISP, you'll need to enter your account details (and any other specific information) provided to you by your ISP. You will also have to set a name and password for the wifi section of your router (if it has wifi) if you don't want it to be freely accessible by everyone within wifi range.
