2 Short Beeps Your computer has memory problems. First check video. If video is working, you'll see an error message. If not, you have a parity error in your first 64K of memory. First check your SIMM's. Reseat them and reboot. If this doesn't do it, the memory chips may be bad. You can try switching the first and second banks memory chips. First banks are the memory banks that your CPU finds its first 64K of base memory in. You'll need to consult your manual to see which bank is first. If all your memory tests good, you probably need to buy another motherboard.

Seems to me that you may be experiencing a BIOS issue I would go to Dell web site and download the BIOS again for sure to make sure the BIOS is back to working order. have you tryed "system restore" on your computor it will restore it back to a date specifyed by you, or you can take it in will cost.

You should be able to Right-Click your desktop and go to the "Themes" or "Properties" section of the pop-up menu that shows up.
Then find the appropriate changes you want to make, select "Apply" and done!

Start Microsoft Word.
Click Help.
Enter 'set default font' and do the search.
Follow the instructions to set the "default" font, or to create a "template".

You could contact dell and ask for the password if there is.
If not then best option is to remove and reseat the CMOS battery.
Contact Dell and tell them to provide you with the steps to remove and reseat the CMOS battery.
It will reset all the BIOS values.

I have few questions before we proceed, is the question being asked before you reach the "logon screen"?. There are different passwords like bios password, hdd password, and user password. If you didn't set the user administrator password, just leave it blank and hit enter. Please let me know with the operating system running on your system. Good luck.

If you need your BIOS password reset for your notebook you will need to call Dell tech support. They will give you a code for your notebook to reset the BIOS password.

(vast) (just 2 steps in fact) but the boot drive , change out is far far far more complex. and you never not told that. you want to mess with the C: drive? now let me guess the real goal (sad I must) the OS drive windows is failing ( common) and some lil' bird told you it needs a new boot drive, and then fail to say so here. okay I will bite. 1: buy a new SSD (hdd fail and are slow) 2: buy a new OS, from MS. or get free w10. push the physical cd drive try button marked EJECT the PC must be running, or use the paper clip hole trick. (if PC is dead or tray jammed) google that. clip trick the dell manuals covers this

ask at Microsoft.com forum , there? or learn that if PC had this new, it is in fact crippleware. and will nag you until you buy it or do the rent things, 360 jive. best is buy it and set it up like you went. even 2007 runs here on w10. office. the PCs most on earth new, come with free but fully crippleware. as do vast other bloatware loaded on new PC. I erase all that junk and set up my own things paid and licensed.
