Go into control panel/new hardware/ search. Actually, first brestart the laptop wwhile plugged in. Windows should automatically see it and install the appropriat drivers. If it cannot find necessary drivers you will need to install them from the disk provided by the modem.

To upgrade the motherboard? No. Just replace the laptop. If you want to upgrade, you may try memory, but it would take someone like me to look at it and see what upgrades might help.

Normally its on the bottom of the laptop with a Microsoft logo on it with a mix of letters and numbers. Its hard to miss. Also before you reload a system you can find the key with a software tool call key finder. Its free and safe. ^_^ hope this helps

Unfortunately laptop motherboards are not like desktop motherboards - on laptops the motherboards and laptop itself are unique. The motherboards cannot be replaced to a different, faster model. the only components that you can probably change is the memory and sometimes the hard disk.

KAV60 motherboard are also used in Acer One D250. Just go on Acer website and look for it.

back up ur data by login safemode by pressing f8 when pc startsbackup all user datacreate new user account and delete old account

when your netbook starts up, press f8 and from the following menu, choose to start using safe mode with gui. If you have specified an administrative password at the time of windows installation, use that to log on. If you have not, you should be able to simply log on with the administrative account. Now, go to the control panel>user accounts and create a new user account. Now, you should be able to logon using the new user account. Make this one an administrative/standard account instead of a limited one. When you logon using this account, you should be able to get your data of the previous account from C:\Users\<previous profile name>... You can take backup of this data and then delete the previous user profile to avoid further confusion.Hope this helps.
