how do u get the alarm off

what menu settings do I need for canon Pixma 340 to print

click on printer icon or into start menu and go to printers and click on the icon. Click on properties and on most you will see troubleshoot. Click on this and it will ask you what is happening. Explain and then follow directions on how to clean and to print and adjust the ink settings. Hope this helps you.

I had the same problem and it was making me crazy. I finally realized, that you have to open MP Navigator, go to scan, go to preferences, and there under the general tab at the top where it says select printer, you have to select the networked name of your printer/scanner and not the default name, which is the same at the beginning so easy to overlook. (of course you have to have set up the network first)

with my cannon i have to go to start menu, select windows photo gallery from all programs - once open in top bar is file with down arrow click- see import scanner printer click- your printer should be listed click import - new screen will open- document type should be document not photo- color format grey scale color etc, i leave color, leave image a jpeg - then click scan after setting document in printer window, assuming you have a lift open printer, place document face down in the upper left hand corner. click scan - save document with title you want and open email search documents type document name and attach to email.

By a Cat 5 or 6 cable for 10 bucks at any Best Buy or use a USB cable. Good luck !

Error 5200 is a service error
Follow this solution step by step

• With the printer turned on,unplug it
• Open the top and bring the ink cartridge holder to the middle
• Raise the gray bar and remove the print head assembly with the cartridges in it
• Lower the gray bar with the head missing and close the top with the head out
• Restore the power,wait till the printer starts
• It will tell you to put in the cartridges
• Restore the print head, close the top and the printer should resume working
