Try checking the printer for foreign objects that might be interfering with the paper path. Tilt the printer sideways and try shaking it a bit. After that, try printing. If the issue persists, clean the rollers of the printer.

HiClear any print queues.Turn the printer off and on.Try disconnecting/unplugging the printer from power.Connect it after a while.Try printing.

Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues with your model:

1. On your computer, go to Start menu.
2. Go to Programs.
3. Go to Lexmark 4800 Series folder.
4. Select Lexmark Solution Center.

From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through to clean the print cartridge nozzles.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages,then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Use ONLY the delivered power cord . If you have bought the device in an official retail shop in W Europe including UK , you may plug it on a 220 VAC outlet . Not in USA ! You would fry the PSU and/or could cause serious internal damage to the device unless a safety fuse springs somewhere .

It could be the print spooler service on your computer. Make sure the service is running. You may refer to this article on How to Restart or Reset the Print Spooler in Windows. Hope this helps.

go to printer properties in the control panel and click on latest driver

Please make sure the print head is seating properly as it should. Another reason could be the contacts of the print head are not connecting properly with the main printer due to dirt. Remove the print head, clean the contacts of the print head and where it seats at the printer. hope this will help

Yes it is true machine will print because its maybe need some type of repairing or the machine is not a printer of a photocopy

The problem with XP is that its not support by any new printers. However, you may be able to use the universal HP PLC5 driver to run the Lexmark.. According to Lexmark windows XP is a supported OS for this printer. Go to the Lexmark site, support and download the driver.
