As an L1 ASE Master tech I ALWAYS advise against aftermarket alarm systems, however the problem you are experiencing is due to an action that is not being taken by the vehicles control modules. The installer should tie into the door control modules or find out why the body control module is recognizing the command for the locking/un-locking action, (hence the lighting response), but the doors are not taking appropriate action. I would have to look at live data in the vehicles control modules to see what modules are being commanded to do what. Take it back to the place where it was put in and tell them to fix it or refund it. Good luck!

make sure the care doesnt have the check engine light on and if it does clear the codes and then it should work i had that problem

U are probly opening the door then hitting ur doorlock button then shutting the door. The factory system is being armed whwn u loxk the door. Try shutting the door without loxking it. See if ur factory alarm light came on. If that solves ye issue, u need to some minor rewire on ur alarm.

Hi, g.m uses 2 types of locks. Us oldtimers called them a 3wire or 5wire. The wires are on the switch. The diff is this. A three wire has relays built in. 5Wire uses the switches in series to make the connection. Its been my experience, to chk ur switches first.

Hi, i would guess ur remote batteries are needing replaced. Otherwise chk the ant. That is added on ur windsgield. It may have a connection issue.

Hi, ur problem is a simple one. U have a factory alarm-starter kill. The key and ecm have to comunicate. Ur alarm has a digital modual to make the ecm think its seeing the key when u remote start. Since u changed the "code"u have to reprogram your alarm interphase so it all comunicates the code.

Everything depends on missing information...like was it professionally installed?...and whats the year make and model of the vehicle. The ignition wire has not been wired in2 the system then - try checking all the wires r connected properly!!!! Good luck!!!

The 4103 is not an alarm. It's a remote starter with keyless entry! Do you want the horn to sound when locking and unlocking? First, make sure that the horn wire was connected. Press and hold the lock button on the remote. That should activate the panic/car finder. The horn will begin to sound. Press and release the lock button to turn it off.If the horn is connected and, you want said horn to sound when locking and unlocking, open door, turn ignition on then off, press and hold programming switch until the horn chirps once. Release programming button, press and release programming one time then, press and hold programming button. While holding the programming button press and release unlock button on remote. You should hear two chirps from the unit. Release programming button, turn ignition on to exit programming, Test system.

The 4103 is not an alarm! It's a keyless entry and remote starter. So...what are you trying to do.

Wow...I would return to the place where the installation was done. It's possible that the installer either tapped into the wire or, left the wire exposed after testing it.

Well, if you connected the tach sense wire (violet/white) from the Avital, remove it and use either virtual tach or voltage. It sounds to me that whatever you have connected to the tachometer is sending a signal rather than sensing, causing the malfunction.

Rip it out and do it manualy ,these viper and associated products use electrical components made in china and the specs fall well below the europeon standards of a phillips or a bosch unit ,old saying you get what you pay for.

If your vehicle parking lights are working at the switch then, the inline parking light fuse(15 amp) of the Avital unit may be blown.
