Boot by USB drive

The most likely problem is that some of the information is missing. is the Bios file on the Stick and is it un-compressed? you also need to ensure that the Bios flashing software is on the stick. But, for better info, go to the website where you downloaded the BIOS file and read the instructions there. They always give instructions for BIOS flashing. (well I haven't found one that doesn't yet)

Would 3 domed capasitors stop my motherboard

Yes, absolutely.

The capacitors are failing to do their job -- namely to regulate the voltages.

Take a backup of everything, before the motherboard "dies" an ugly death.

Asrock ge pro-m2 whats the best spec i can upgrade

According to the downloadable manual on the manufacturer's web-site:

http://www.asrock.com/MB/manual.asp?Model=GE%20PRO-M2

the maximum RAM supported is 2GB, and it is a Socket 478 CPU interface.

Since you don't have the "GE PRO-HT" motherboard,
you cannot use a "hyper-threading" CPU.
So, you can use any non-hyper-threading Pentium/Celeron that has a Socket 478 interface.

My motherboard can't turn on and me had changed

Hi liangsan_lie,

I went back to the archieves to see some issues that have never been answered. And Found yours. You've probably solved it by now, but
There could be many things that could stop the board from turning on, Determining if it works is like detective work. What I do, is take everything off the board to start. Then add the minimum to start a board to see if it will start. That's one drive (cd or otherwise) the CPU, and one bank of memory. (that's not a required eliminate, but it helps avoid beep codes) Also, make sure you have your pin's set on the board absolutely correct, or that could be your problem to begin with. Now, you should get the power supply on, and the cpu. If those don't power up, it's then either one of the five elements. The CPU, Power supply, Ram, Drive, or the motherboard. The next step is to replace each one of the first four to see if you get any change. If no change, then I usually get another board that I can test the first four, and make sure that they work. After that, then I say you have a DOA Board

Good Luck

Satellite A200 Not Charging battery

You're gonna have to replace the motherboard.

Check to see if it's under warranty through your motherboard manufacturer's website.

Most of them are covered for 3 years.

Best of luck!

Some time the system will work due to insufficient power source this problem may occur replace SMPS and check the CPU heat by touching it. If it warm then the CPU is functioning. Else contact your nearest hardware vendor.

I always suggest this and many times I get yelled at, but I'm just trying to help...

Did you plug in both power cords? There are two, one is rectangular and one is a smaller square shaped connector.

If that's not it and you've tried pulling all the cards and devices (RAM, HDD, CD/DVD) then you most likely have a bad motherboard.

Good luck.
