HOW OFTEN AND HOW MUCH OIL DOES THIS SHREDDER REQUIRE?
I have found that the best way to oil the unit is from the top flap(near disk area), which exposes the top of the blades. You must also give the oil spout a shot so the unit "oil light" goes off.As far as how often, monitor the unit and after each heavy workout, give it a top shot along the exposed blades. Get to know your machine and it will treat you right!!

It only works in reverse.
Hello.
Remove the cover, and check the micro switch for alignment. With use, they can get chad or other debris behind them that will not allow the switch to make proper contact. If you have compressed air, blow the switch clear (gently), or use a soft bristeled brush. Align the parts, and put it back together.

Shredder will not operate. Both red and green
First open the drawer or bin and see if it's stuffed to the top, that is the usual cause. Then reset it if it has a reset button, Then if still no good with it unplugged, take a pliers and pull out any stuck paper or plastic stuck in the grinder. That is really all you can do with these things. Some times they just burn out from use. But with both lights on it sounds like its over full. also try to run it in reverse if you have that feature. If you are sure it's empty and there is nothing jammed up inside. Then it probablly just burned out. The directions on these things say don'y use for more than 15 minuted on the ones that cost under $300.00, we have burned out a few ourselves.
