Consider NOT using the FinePix software.The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). The lens drive has come off its track. Take the camera apart and reseat the corkscrew drive.

You need to delete some pictures out of the memory. Download all the pictures to your PC and then delete them from the camera.

the video from the ccd is not making it to the lcd does it shoot pictures if so then you have a good point n shoot blind camera its not worth fixing .

Dear! This is so old that it is very hard to find manual. You can ask one by one the function of he use if it is possible. People might answer! However it is very simple camera so you can figure it out easy, too. Just put battery into the battery compartment and switch on like this! Hope You Luck! A Professional Camera Clinic Guy!

i dont know what size cards you have tried but try another card lower than 2 gig to see if its the size thats doing it ? some camera's are not up to date with reading the new cards that come out ( it seems like ) every week

check the mhr on the batteries you use they should be re-chargeable batteries as alkaline batteries do not have what it takes and run down very quickly the re-chargeable battery should be around the 2000 mhr rating

It is defect and it will be cheaper to buy a new camera, then bring it to a repair shop. Worst scenario. Perhaps something came lose. When it won't start after you removed and replaced the battery. I can't change that one. But there is little hope it is worth bringing it to a repair shop. Perhaps the find a lose contact and repair this for 100 or 150 dollar, it still is a used camera that fell and can show the next defect in a few days or weeks. My advice is to start saving up for a new camera. Sorry.

Yes.... It's possible. But finding the right person to do it is another thing. It may cost as much as the camera. Thats why it's become a throw away world

Well, try taking out the batteries and installing them again. If that doesn't work, maybe you need new batteries.
