20 Most Recent FUJIFILM A220 Digital Camera Questions & Answers

Do you really want the Fujifilm software? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Your card may be full or damaged.
Is the card compatible with your camera - most cameras will work only with specific cards.
Does the camera work with another card? If you haven't tried that I would suggest you do so.
If you get the same message with another normal card then the problem may be with your camera.

This is not a camera - it appears to be some kind of office equipment. Posting your query in a forum dealing with such items may help.

Have you looked in the manual ? May be an overexposure warning.

I don't see a manual for the FinePix J40 on the Fuji support site: https://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/models/ . The available J series manuals include a J35 and a J50, https://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/models/j/ . Fuji does list a model F40FD. Since the model J35 is a 12MP camera, the manual for the J30/J35/J38 may help you use your J40. https://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/j/finepix_j30_manual_01.pdf . I wish that I had better news for you. Cindy Wells
