In most cases the flashing H4 or H then 4 code on these
machines is caused by voltage fluctuations or surges. Normally there is nothing wrong with the machine and the code is easily reset. Here is the procedure:
Press the following key's in sequence and as
quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "#" then the " * " (star) key then the "Clear" key then the " * " key again.
So in other words #, star, C, Star
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Then key in 14 as if you were going to make 14 copies.
Now press the "print" button
The machine should automatically shut down and restart with the H4 code being gone.
If the H4 code comes back after reset then in this case you have a fusing unit problem and will need to have the unit serviced.
