Welcome to Fixya. Connect the disk storage (MP3 player) to your computers USB port. Open My Computer (Windows XP) or Computer (Windows Vista or 7) Look for the drive Removable Disk (E:) [The letter drive may vary depending on your computer] This is your MP3 player. Open the Mp3 Drive then look for the music that you want to erase. Its the same way if you want to copy or transfer Mp3 files. Nextar MP3 is easy to use just like your using a Flash drive.

connect your mp3 player using usb cable data
the computer will recognized as removable disk that shown at windows explorer
at windows explorer copy the music file then paste at removable disk drive (your mp3 drive)
disconnect your mp3 player from your computer then try to play it

look for a small pinhole on the device, and use a paperclip or needle to press the reset button inside the device.
doing this should reset the device and fix your problems

check and make sure you dont have it set to a demo mode where it will play the first few seconds of a file then move on to the next one

Try spraying electrical contact cleaner into the headphone socket. There are 4 spring loaded contacts in there. For your next one, buy a Bluetooth MP3 or a cellphone with Bluetooth. No mechanical connections.

Even rechargeable batteries eventually die. Have you tried leaving it plugged into power for a long time, like at least overnight? As for a manual, you didn't list a make or model. Try a search for the make and model and include user manual in the search box.
