If the settings icon looks like this then it means that there is an IOS update available. To update select Settings - General - Software Update, then click on update/install.

You should really use the app store, but otherwise most downloads wont work because the iPad doesn't have many file programs

You will have to plug it into your computer, it will install iTunes and then sync all your items to whatever you want

Have you tried to hard reset the device? To do this just press and hold the power and home button and the same time until you see the screen go black and the apple logo appear , now let go of both buttons, allow the tablet to start up. Try the facebook app again, does the problem persist? If the problem still persists, check to see how much space you have on the tablet, sometimes the limited amount of space on the device can prevent an app from functioning correctly. If you find there is not very much space remove several items, to create more storage space, then attempt to use the Facebook app again, does the problem still persist? If so, check the App Store to see if there is an update for the facebook app, if you find one under updates, install it, try to run the App again. Reset could help. Before you do that, make a backup on the Cloud. Before you do that, check that all your other apps are turned off. The iPad can have a bunch of applications running in the background just like a computer. That takes a lot of memory switching and if you're asking it to do too much too fast, it gets lost. Double click the home button and see what's still running. Dump most of it on a regular basis and see if that helps.

Try resetting the iPad, by pressing both the home button and the on / off switch, till the iPad switches off. (can take about 10 seconds) then switch on with the on / off switch. the white apple loge should appear and within one minute it should work again. If the light stays off, contact an Apple store and ask a Genius on the Genius bar.

The WiFi connector is snapped on. If it came unplugged, there's no way to get it back on without opening the iPad. Though, I doubt that a hit on the back would cause it to become unplugged. Have you tried restarting the iPad? If not, then try that as it can solve a number of software issues.

Try clearing your browsing history. Open up your Settings on your iPad, click Safari, then Clear History. This will wipe out your iPads previous knowledge of any sites you've visited. To prevent them from listing moving forward, you can use private browsing. If you're using iOS 7, you can access it by opening Safari, hitting the + button near the bottom of the page, and hitting Private in the left hand corner. It'll ask you if you want to keep or close your currently open tabs after that. Hope this helps!

I don't think that I would take that advice. i would guess that you have tried this but. Go to settings, tap Wi-Fi At top of page you will see a line with Wi-Fi at the left , at the right is a slider to turn it off. Slide it to off wait a few seconds and then back to on. It should search for and display available networks and hopefully connect to yours. Good Luck

SOMETIMES a good smack fixes things, but this is mostly what we used to do for old iPods that would not load correctly. Make sure your WiFi settings are on, and if that does not help, do a cold restart by http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

Triple click the home button. Then double tap the VoiceOver off button. This should allow the device to return to normal operation. Then you can reset by pressing and holding both buttons (power and home) until it resets if you need to.

There is a tab over the web site, and in the left corner a circle with an x in it. Press this symbol, and the web page will close. On th iPhone you need to press the symbol with two squares in lower right corner to get to the tabbed pages.

Depending on the reader you use, they usually have the option. You could also log in to Twitter using Safari and do it there.

I may misunderstand here, is Photo Vault an app? Then you need to press the icon (on the desktop) until it 'shivers', then press the 'x' and confirm you want to delete the app. If you refer to 'My Photo Stream', it's a part of Apple's iCloud. You can turn it off by choosing 'Settings' from desktop, then 'iCloud' and then 'Photos'. Here you can turn on/off 'My Photo Stream'. Hope this helps...

Try a Soft or Hard Reset.

Unfortunately, you will need to get to a laptop or tower PC or Mac, in order to reset your password, migrate to apple.com try to login, there should be a forgot password link just below the login entry points. The Mobile version of Apples website malfunctions when attempting to reset a password, this is why you need to go through a laptop or tower to have a successful password reset.
