Boston Acoustics BA735 Computer Speakers - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Power comes on but no
Check this out:
This may occur when power to
the speakers is interrupted momentarily, but does not happen every time
power is interrupted. Interruptions include, but are not limited to,
power fluctuations, blackouts, and other environmental conditions. The
subwoofer does this to protect the speakers from adverse power
conditions.
RESOLUTION:
Unplug the alternating current (AC) power to the speakers until the
light-emitting diode (LED) is no longer lit (usually 5 to 10 seconds),
and then plug them back in. This resets the circuit protection and
allows for normal operation.

Your computer must output digital sound. Double-click the Volume Icon and Select Options/Advanced Controls (if available). Under that is a checkbox that you need to click to enable 'Digital Only' mode. If the Advanced Controls option is grayed out, you're probably out of luck...
Worked last week computer crashes now restored
You said, other speakers worked fine ono that pc right? And the speakers doesn't on other computers? Then surely the speakers are now defective. It might be the wirings or internal parts of the speaker. Check warranty of the speakers, if it is expired, then you have to replace the speakers.
Won't work with new computer
I would suggest going to START>Control Panel>Sound HQ(or something similar, like Sounds and Audio Devices etc). From this point youll want to make sure, under the Sounds or Output tab, that your Boston Acoustics are selected. If theyre not listed, try to pick whatever it is your plugging into(Say a jack thats on the computer, look for something like "Internal Port" or "Dell Ports" for your computer name.) Please PM or send me an email if the problem persists
I have 10-year old BA735 digital speakers with
It sounds like the jack prongs in the speaker may not be making contact. You will have to inspect it, and ohm it out with a multi-meter, to verify loss of contact. You may be able to "spring" the prongs back into place. Another problem is that the jack may be dirty, or slightly oxidized. Spray them off with electrical contact cleaner, if in doubt. Other than that, you would have faulty wiring to the speakers, or blown speakers (blown speaker coils).
No soud from my ba 265 boston speakers
You will have to install the audio drivers, these drivers are the software’s or the utilities which actually make the hardware’s work properly the same goes for the sound in the computer,
I think to remove the viruses in your computer they simply formatted the drive and when you do that you have to install all the drivers to make your system run properly.
To check which all drivers are not installed you will have to check the device manager {click on start – click on run – under run type devmgmt.msc} you will get the device manager if there is a yellow mark anywhere it means that the driver is not installed and you will have to install that driver.
To install the driver go to the manufacturers website then go to drivers and downloads select your product and operating system and download the driver.
I have Boston Digital BA735 speakers and a MacBook
I reviewed the manual on these speakers and since they are digital speakers, you have to have a sound card that is capable of digital output. I believe that all Macbooks are capable of digital output, so you may not be hooking them up correctly. Here is a link to the
Quick Manual for these speakers. Make sure the cables are plugged in as it shows.
Had a Gateway a long time ago, changed computers
Reinstall the drivers for the audio from dell
Check all wires from the boston speakers( great choice btw, i love mine too)
Check to see if boston speakers work on other devices(ipod, tv, etc.)
Check to see if any other speaker works on the Dell Zino
I have Boston Digital BA735 subwoofer speaker,
ok from the information you have presented i believe you have to get a male to male adapter for your sub woofer then plug it into your speaker in on the back of our comp and into your analog in on your speakers, please provide more information if this doesn't work and i would be happy to assist you further
Had a old Gateway computer with Boston Digital
You can't, at least not with the integrated sound. The speakers only take digital input, and the Gateway had a digital sound card installed. That new board of yours has PCI slots available. You might be able to use the old Gateway sound card. I've never tried it, but XP might recognize the card and have native drivers. If not, you might be able to find XP drivers at Gateway's site. Otherwise all you'll be able to do is buy a new set of analog speakers.
