DeLonghi PAC C120 Portable Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
How do you empty tank?
It is actually a pan with a float that when full will stop the unit.
On the back of the unit, bottom, there is a rubber plug. Have a pan ready and I would advise have the unit up on a couple of 2x4s or bricks...I used a short tube and drained it into a baking pan, it is too heavy to get into a bathtub or shower.
Filter wont come out
If filter does not slide straight up an out, You need a Phillips screwdriver. . 1) take off both sides.6 screws each side, 4 under plastic caps. 2) top back there are 2 screws above the filter need the top of the unit. 3) on the top piece there are 2 screws, 1 on each side. Slide half of top off giving you better access to remove filter. Remember to reassembly in reverse
I am empting the tank of water every two days, need help. Thanks
Air conditioners and dehumidifiers are closely related. Any air conditioner operating in a humid environment will extract moisture from the air and with an outside or window unit, this collected condensation has an escape path and these are not equipped with a container to hold the collected water .A stand-alone portable unit does not have any other way to dispose of the condensate other than the internal container . . .and you.Your unit is not defective, you just have it operating in a high-humidity area.
Sorry I do not speak English well.
C120 pac my
This unit stopped working and displayed the PF code for Probe Failure. I
fixed it by removing 6 screws for the panal and 4 screws for the back
panal and removing the 5 screws and 1 screw holding the ground wire off
the silver box with the circuit board in it then I un plugged the
little plug for the 2 probes with the black wires in it and replugged it
in and wiggled it several times with the unit pluged in (be carefull
not to get shocked I recomend someone with electrical experiance do
this for you) the plug must get corroded but this fixed my unit.
Good
luck.
I bought a DeLonghi PACC120E
All units of that sort come with a hose which goes on the back or the side, if you don't have this unit is useless
The air conditioner is cooling but it is dripping
It sounds as if the drain plug on the back of the unit, down near floor level is loose or missing
Check for that first, because the unit is supposed to shut off automatically, when the drain pan is full. If the plug is leaking or missing, the unit doesn't sense, that the drain pan is full. Also, be sure you exhaust ducts are not bowing down a great deal or trapping exhausted moisture in the duct, that should be exhausted out the window.
Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.
New unit installed when turned on "FT" light displays
Remove the tank if it is removable and see if you can determine how it is sensing the tank level. Maybe it's a float switch that is stuck or maybe it works by the weight of the tank. Either way your problem will be with whatever senses the tank level.
Delonghi hifi heater keeps beeping control board green light
So, it sounds like your Delonghi hifi heater is giving you some trouble, man. The constant beeping and the green light on the control board, it's like it's trying to tell you something. My guess is that there's something funky going on with the thermostat. The beeping is probably the heater's way of saying it can't maintain the desired temperature because the thermostat isn't working properly. And the green light, it's like the heater is still getting power and trying to do its thing, but the thermostat is holding it back.
One thing you could try is checking the thermostat settings and making sure they're all good to go. If the settings are chill, but the problem persists, it might be time for a new thermostat. You could also try unplugging the heater for a bit and then plugging it back in, see if that helps reset the system.
If all else fails, it's best to reach out to Delonghi's customer service or maybe even a professional technician to take a look and give it a tune-up. It's not always easy to fix these things ourselves, so don't be afraid to ask for help.
How to i get th case of a delonghi model pacan125hpec open?
:To open the case of a DeLonghi model PACAN125HPEC, locate the screws on the back of the unit and remove them. Once the screws are removed, carefully lift the back panel, being careful not to damage any of the internal components. The case should then open and you can access the internal components.
