Do these "soap bubble" like orbs only appear in flash pictures and in different places each time? If so, they are dust particles reflecting the flash back into the lens. We all have this problem.

Not sure what type or model of camera you have. But most camera's have a Mode dial. The best thing to do is to turn that dial to the little green camera logo. That is the automatic mode. If you have chosen the moon and star, you only can make pictures in bad light situations.

I'm assuming you mean the IXY 2000 IS.Press cursor-down (marked with a one-handed clock) to bring up the shutter release menu, then use cursor-up/down to select the desired self-timer mode. did the camera sustain any drops or water damage?if not then i would recommend to take it back to the manufacturer and request a refound for the defective equipment.

the only way to recover it is if you have not recorded anything else on the memory card and then you need to take it to a lab.
