HP CB350 Digital Camera - Page 9 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Digital camara and memory card
Basically picture files in memory card have corrupt data
that's why computer
doesn't recognize it.
HP recommends following action...
Close the HP Image Zone
or HP Photosmart Software, disconnect the camera from the computer, and reset the camera. (can see this at
HP Support)
2nd option is to find some memory card data recovery software on internet and use it to correct data files in memory card.
Thank you.

We'll need a bit more info.
What sort of camera ?
Does the mesage show on the camera or on the PC ?
Is this a new problem, or is the camera know ?
Is the message generated by the HP software ?

My camera is only 4
Being that your camera is already 4 years old its possible that ear and tear has gotten to the flash as well as the shutter ( which controls the light coming in) Now it is still possible to repair this unit but it would cost quite a bit. I would suggest you just replace it. Although you can also try to reset the unit and see if that can fix it. You can follow those directions from your manual. As for the door, yes there are available parts for that that you can purchase online from HP. Go to
www.hp.com for that and go to support

The HP office jet 5610 should have an input USB socket, you need to connect camera to the printer input socket.

Lost photographs can we get
First do not panic! It is possible to
recover your pictures if you take care. Take the card from the camera (powered
off) and if it has a "write protect" tab then lock it now. Do not try
and write anything to the card or you risk causing more problems.
You can either plug in you camera to the PC
as it should appear as a “Removable
Drive” or put the card in a card reader attached
to your PC.
Next, if you are comfortable with using a
PC then you can download a FREE utility that will recover your photos from the
following link:
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec
If you need something a little more
"user friendly" then you will need to buy the software. If you search
the web for photo recovery software you will find many.
One I have used successfully is RescuePro
that used to be bundled with some Sandisk products. Now you can get it from the
link below:
http://www.lc-tech.com/software/prwindetail.html.
You can try the demo to see what you can
recover before buying.
Remember - Do NOT try & write anything
back to the card until you can recover your pictures to your PC safely!
Please take a moment to rate this solution
& let us know if the information given was useful to you – Good Luck!

I have installed the software
I am assuming that you want to email photos directly from the camera. Are you using a POP3 email account such as Outlook Express? Or are you using yahoo, etc? Look through your camera manual to find out whether or not you need to be using a pop3 address. If you are, let me know and I'll try to help you get set up. If you don;t have your manual, you should find it here online

if in case before you perform the uninstallation, please download the same UPDATED software from HPs site if it is available.

HP Photosmart Camera
Check eBay. There are lots of generic camera batteries listed there for under $10.
It is also the same battery as the Kodak KLIC-5000 battery.

HP PHOTOSMART R937
If you have only had it for 6 months, I would recommend sending it in to HP to be serviced.
Thanks,

I HAVE A HP PHOTOSMART
Did you bring the camera back to Walmart? If it's less than a month old they should replace it. If it's been more than a month then you will have to contact HP for in warranty service. If you've had the camera for more than a year, it probably isn't worth getting it repaired with the current price of cameras being so low.
