Polaroid i1237 Digital Camera - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I've had my camera
It is now over seven years old - if it has been used extensively, it may just be worn out.
What sd card for i237 polariod
The i237 will work with any SD card up to 2GB in size or any SDHC card up to 32GB in size. It will not work with SDXC cards, 64GB or larger.
How do you unlock card
SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
Driver not found
When you are using SDXD cards in a SD card reader for instance, it won't work.
take care when buying a new card reader, because lots of stores still sell card readers, not compatible with the SDXC cards. All SD cards above 32GB are SDXC.
No disk in driver I am using a memory card reader
For a memory card reader, your computer should have a driver if you are on Windows 7. Most memory card readers are also recognised by MAC computers. The jpg files from your computer should show up on your computer too. If you have an old operating system on your computer, you need a CD that once came with the card reader, because most firms take care you get the drivers for that. You also could try to get the drivers for the card reader when you google on de card readers brand name.
Flash bulb
These cameras are not made to be user serviceable. Replacing the flash, while probably possible, would require dismantling the entire camera.
Sd card reader
try downloading the driver for the camera first as this is what the pc will need to recognise the camera
Cant get the camera to download photos to computer
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as
Picasa.
Outdoor pictures are all white
Double check the mode the carera is in to make sure you are not in manual mode. Most point and shoot digital cameras have an auto mode. Try putting the camera in auto mode to see if that helps. In manual mode you have to select the appropriate Fstop setting (how much light gets through the lens) and the shutter speed (how long the lens stays open during the shot).
