Go onto your ipod touch's "Settings" app and scroll down to the "General" button and tap it. Then scroll down to the "Reset" button and tap it. Next tap the "Reset All Settings" button and hopefully that will fix your iPod Touch's problems.
Note: Don't tap the "Erase All Content and Settings" button because it will do what the name says.

Plug the iPod touch into the computer with the USB Dock connector. The touch screen has developed an intermittent problem, sometimes the ribbon wire becomes loose and needs to be reseated back into place on the main board to fix it, or it is possible the whole screen may have to be replaced in order to address the issue. It might be a good idea to have tech look at it to assess the cost to repair.
It says can not sync ipod(-53) What does this
Hi, message saying "can not sync" means that the connection from the ipod to the computer was not successful..
If you sync your iPod with a different/empty library iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from the iPod to the computer and everything else on it will be erased. You'll find details on transferring purchases in this article: iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
Purchased applications can be downloaded over again, see this article for details: How to redownload purchased applications from the App Store
If you want to recover the music from CDs etc that is on the iPod and transfer it to your new computer there are a few things you can do. music from CDs etc.) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod Touch or iPhone. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer data (such as playcounts and ratings), movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well.
A selection of iPod/iPhone to iTunes utilities:

I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
One last thing, you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. Open iTunes first and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box "Prevent iPods and iPhones from syncing automatically" and choose Ok before connecting your device.
Once you have recovered everything from the iPod and your iTunes library has been rebuilt it will be safe to sync again.

How to unlock ipod touch
that is not a problem follow the steps below.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with
which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the
device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced
with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your
data will not be present
Follow the steps that i have outlined below. If this does not completely help your situation
please let me know and i will be glad to assist you.
According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the
following:
1
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to
manage its songs. . .
Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of the iPod Nano.
2
Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on a Mac or PC computer.
3
Open the iTunes application by clicking on the Dock icon on a Mac or using the Start menu on a
PC.
4
Click on the name of your iPod Nano under the "Devices" list in the iTunes window.
5
Click on the "Sync" button to establish a connection between your iPod and the computer.
6
Click on the eject symbol next to your iPod's name after the syncing process has finished.
7
Unplug your iPod Nano. The device will be unlocked and you will be able to access all normal
features again.
if that does not work you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please
note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your
combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer,
your only option is to restore the
IPod, which will erase all music and data."

How do i sync ipod with computer or laptop as i
Hi,
How to Sync an Ipod to Your Computer
Things You'll Need:
* IPod
* IPod USB that came with iPod
* Computer
* ITunes
* Mouse
So, you've bought an iPod and are super excited about putting your music on it so you can listen on the go, but you don't know how to start. First you have to figure out how to get your songs to your iPod, then you can listen to your heart's content.
This How To will tell you how you can get moving to the beats sooner than later.
Be sure your iPod is not on "hold". Move the bar at the top of the iPod from hold (at right) to manage or release (at left)
Press the center button on your iPod to turn the iPod on
Connect the flatter, wider connecting piece to the opening on the bottom of your iPod (This may have a minus sign on it)
Connect the USB side of the cord (this piece has what looks like a cactus on it) to the USB port in your computer
ITunes will automatically open. Click on the image of your iPod (at left). This will open your settings for whenever you connect your iPod to the computer.
Initially, it may be easiest to let it automatically update your iPod. A screen will come up to ask you if you would like to automatically sync your iPod. Click "YES".
ITunes will do the rest. The top window will show the progress of the data transfer.
DO NOT disconnect your iPod.
Once the window says "Update Complete", eject your iPod to safely remove it from the computer by dragging the image or icon of the ipod on your computer to the trash (which will change into an eject symbol), or clicking on the eject symbol next to the iPod icon (at left).
Disconnect the cord from the computer and iPod
Listen to your music
Tips & Warnings
These instructions are most useful if you have already installed iTunes and charged you iPod prior to connecting it to your computer.
Do not disconnect your iPod until it says "iPod Update Complete" at the top of the iTunes screen.

My ipod wont turn on
Plug your device in for several hours before attempting to turn it back on. Then you may want to turn the unit on while the ipod is NOT plugged in.
