Fisher and Paykel DishDrawer DS605FDSM Stainless Steel 23 in Builtin Dishwasher Questions & Answers
F1 Error code
F1 is flood error. basically water has arrived at the bottom board. you can unplug the dishdrawer, remove the bottom drawer and dry the board at the bottom, maybe with a hair dryer carefully. this will reset the fault, but this is a fault that may appear again. replace the actuators that close the lid of the drawer that is leaking (look for signs of water running our of one of the drawers).

Soap residue left on glasses after the wash is complete
A good quality rinse aid and forget economy mode its a waste . Also leave the dishwasher drying until it stops , it can be hard to hear but the LCD will still be on . also most plastics will be left with a soapy looking stain permanently .How much powder and use a goog quality one. another common problem is the soap dispenser being left open or coming open during the cycle.
check the drain hoses and the inlet tap is turned on enough

Power cannot be turned on. led display not on
Check that the draws are closing properly and evenly , there is a door sensor just inside the frame top and bottom on the right side .If thr machine is not level the doors can slide forward.if this does not work , feel if the draw really locks in when closed because at the back of the draw slides on each side are two plastic lock mechanisms. when the draw has been out they need to be upwards facing so when closed thy lock the slides in on both sides . Sometimes thy only lock in one side causing it not to deactivate the door sensors and shut down . Yes it sounds simple, but most problems i have found are
Faulty top drawer on fp dishdraw can I disconnect powet to top unit to disable it
Unfortunately the power is distributed from the inside to the two drawers. You will have to address the cause of the problem in the top drawer. If you are good at electric repairs you could disconnect the power from the dishwasher power board itself, but this is not for the faint hearted (no offence). Might be helpful if you can provide a little details about the problem with top drawer. Generally if you are getting F1 message on the panel on bottom drawer and top drawer display is blank (ie no power), then the power board at the base of dishwasher is blown and needs to be replaced. Please clarify model number as the one you provided is for single drawer unit. Make sure the mains power is turned off when you work inside the diswasher.

Often water left in base of drawer upper and or
Assuming you are using the correct rinse aid and detergent, my opinion is that there is muck in the drain hoses.
If you have cleaned the area under the filter plate and there is no difference, then I suggest you buy two Finish dishwasher cleaner kits from the super market.
Follow instructions on the kit and run empty drawer (one at a time) with the kit in it and at the longest cycle which will ensure a temperature of atleast 60deg.
See if there is any difference.

7 year old two
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Need to remove front drawer panel
There are two plastic bolts on each side of the dishwasher drawer holding the front cover. Get a plier to pull these out but make sure the cover is supported so that it does not fall down.
see installation manual
page 7. The location of the plastic screws is shown in insert diagram of notation 6. This is for a later model but yours should be similar.
Hope this helps. Wonder why you want to remove the front cover?
