This is a magic chef, only a few years old. I use
The problem is hard water. www.dishwasherfilter.com has a product to solve this problem once and for all. It filters the water going into your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that leave those spots. It is very affordable and even has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look with this product.
I push start and my dishwaher wont turn on. I have
either:
- something blocks the door from latching or closing. Check, if anything is stuck behind a dishrack. try reversing lower rack. check if the door aligns properly and dishwasher is installed correctly
- latch switch failed/latch mechanism is broken. Disconnect dishwasher from power. Disassemble door, check latch, check latch switches for continuity
- touch panel or control board (less likely) is failing. replace if none of the above is working for you.
Good luck,

Dishwasher doesn t dry
A simple solution would be to not select Heat Dry if you have that option on your machine. When the washing cycle is complete, open the door partially (4 to 6 inches) to allow the hot water vapors to escape.
Evaporation will dry the dishes in the lower section and the warm dishes can be returned to your cabinet.
Glasses, etc., from the upper section can be removed and stored.
In the remaining space on the upper level. Cups that may have some water remaining in the depressions at the bottom of the cup are turned horizontally in the basket so the water from the depressions can drain. Some minimal wiping may be necessary prior to storage.
Not only have we solved the drying problem we have added some humidity to the air; do not have to worry about a non-functional switch and reduced our electric bill as well.
As a side note, once all of the above has been completed we never close the door completely but leave it an inch or two from a complete close; this will not compress the door gaskets and will add to their service life.
Hope this helps!
Dishwasher not draining
Check the very bottom strainer in the dishwasher first. Clean it out and then (as long as the pump is good) the washer will drain.
